METALLURGY STUDENT REVIEW FROM NIT RAIPUR

I choosed metallurgy and materials engineering because it have good research opportunities . after b.tech you can give gate and can get admission for m.tech in top universities or you can go for PSU which is great government job in terms of perks and salary. here in nit raipur metallurgy is very good branch as teachers are experienced . metallurgy have higheat placement percentage in college. curriculam is quite good here so their is no as such need for improvements but teachers can be more friendly so that student can get comfortable with them exams are conducted frequently here in every sem you have to give 2 exams ( mid sem and end sem) means in a year you have to give 4 exams . difficulty of exam is not that much high , exams are quite easy you can pass by study of one night

in my branch their is good internship opportunity , most of the student get internship in bhilai steel plant . it is compulsary for everyone to have one summer internship in second year and on that basis they will get marks and certificate

students do internship in 2nd year also they have to do internship in 3rd year and college provide internships , you will be able to get placement in 4rth year . many companies visits here like adani , j&w , vedanta etc. package is quite good here avg package of my branch is 10.12 lpa and the highest package is 28lpa placement percent is also.good this year nearly 85% students got placed from my branch i have plan to go for gate exam

tution fee increasement depends on regularity authorities but their is no very much hike in tution fee . It is costing less than 2 lakh a year for complete study + study material expenses + other , for hostel and mess it will cost nearly 50000 a year , meanwhile for a year you have to max expand 2.5 lakhs their are so many scholarships for students which are continuously informed by student section ex:- relience foundation scholarship .

eclectika is the anual cultural fest of nit raipur . also here are other clubs and comitties which conducts continuous events like :- e summit , avartan , shruti , garba night , robowars , samar etc. avartan is the technical fest of nit raipur and these fest are continuous . eclectika mainly helds in feb . library is good here you can find books on many topics classrooms are quite good but not that much to students expectation , in first year their is no AC in classrooms . campus offers so much extra curriculam activities their is sports department but campus is not that much big so their is rush in ground for playing cricket and football , you can not find space to play their are so many clubs and committies run by students .

Elegibility of course is :- you should pass your 12th with 75% minimum also you have to give jee mains exam to get inter in this is institute you can only give jee mains 3 times (with 12th and 2 consecutive years after passing 12th) . this exam is conducted by NTA you can apply from their application fee and dates are declared by NTA . their is reservation for ST , SC, OBC, HOME STATE STUDENTS ,EWS , PWD. in one year you can give 2 attempts means you have total 6 attempts to clear jee mains , the exam is quite difficult you have to prepare your 11th-12th physics , chemistry and mathematics you have to develop problem solving and numerical solving skills to clear the exam jee can improve their examination by redusing croteria of 75% marks in 12th because some students do hard work and clear exam even if they have bad marks in 12th
