Mnnit college review by civil engineering student

I opted for civil engineering at my college. In first year all students are taught common subjects such as maths physics chemistry and their respective core subjects for my case it was plumbing sanitization system and building engineering part 1.Due to NEP rule the course are made more practical with extra syllabus and core knowledge of subjects is increased such that student will be more aware of his/her branch.The professors here are good experienced and highly qualified from prestigious college and they teach their respective subject very well some profs are not that good at teaching but still they will clear your doubts if you face any I didn't face issue till now. About the Examination so per semester contains 2 exam such as mid semester examination and end semester examination. mid sem examination constist of written paper of 20-25 marks paper and endsem exam include the practical exam too where you will perform the experiment in the lab end-sem is generally of 40-50 marks exam.

Internship season start at end of 4th sem many companies come to offer internship such as goldmansachs Google Microsoft and for consultancy role KPMG come and for core role ongc bpcl hpcl come highest stipened is offered by goldmansachs of 120000 per month and even Google give stipened of 90000 per month internship is for 2 months you can convert you internship to PPO preplacement offer as per your perfercomance in company during your intern tenure . You can add projects based on web or Android part in your resume where it can boost your resume to become more highlighted to recruiter

From 7th semester you will be available for placement and you will be given I'd and password to login in placement portal of college where you can access the information about company through that portal companies are of tech consultancy and core sectors famous companies that visit campus are jpmorgan goldmansach Google apple Facebook Uber udaan number of offers are dependent on company ,you can be eligible to give interview of company.highest package offered this year was 64 lac and average package offered was 12 lpa these average packages are mostly offered by software companies this year 60percent student were placed

The fee structure is based on your category and your annual family income. If your annual family income is under 1lac or you belong to sc/st then the tution fees+ hostel fees will be 31000 per semester and if your annual family income is between 1lac-5lac then tution+hostel fees will be 51000 per semester if your annual family income is above 5lac the tution +hostel fees is 87000 Per semester. Scholarship available are NSP,State scholarship and private trust if your rank is under 5 in your respective branch you will get 20000 per year. Needy are provided the laptop. our college have startup incubation where student could get some gig and goodies our college even organize hackathon if you win you could get prize money and other rewards

Our annual cultural festival is culrav happens in April and technical fest is avishkar happens in November where you can participate in their respective events.you can issue minimum 2 books from library and it should be returned under 15 days.classes have projectors where teachers can use to present ther PPT but some classes projector are not working.college have many official sports team such as football cricket badminton volleyball kho-kho basketball lawn tennis and many more college even organize annual sport meet our college have 2 main ground such as athletic ground and Gymkhana ground.there are many technical clubs and cultural clubs in college such as robotics club green club aero clubs astro club dance clubs cor commitee club and many more being a part of club impact on our personality where you can become more confident and bold

In first year we were allowed svbh hostel where 3 students live and hostel room and bathroom were fine clean then in second year you will be alloted patel or tilak hostel based on your cpi you will be alloted big and small rooms in each room 2 students will live but this hostel rooms are very small and toilet are not cleaned regularly mess in 1st year is average and same situation is with 2nd year. There is online registeration process for hostel per semester. Hostel is affordable for student. Final year hostel is newly constructed and it's infrastructure aesthetic look is great but mess is still average

I wrote the Joint Entrance Examination(JEE mains) and qualified the exam with 96.92 percentile. I wrote the exam in June 2022 and July 2022 as attempt 1 and attempt 2 respectively i filled the form through the nta jee website and after 12 days of exam I received my result. Then I shortlisted some colleges based on my score and then applied for the jossa counselling for the admission process . In the jossa counselling we have to select the college and arrange them in preference along with opted branch then further all the info you filled are locked and jossa conduct 6 rounds of counselling I got my college in 5th round and I freezed my choice so that my choice won't be updated in further rounds. Since I was from general category i was not eligible for reservation. In 2022 the jee examination, the maths section was difficult chemistry part was medium and physics part was easy the paper was of 3 hours with 75 questions in total.i didn't face any issue during admission process for college.
