Course Curriculum Overview
As like every JEE aspirant I Chose the best option for myself that is mechanical engineering. At first I was not that sure but after the succesive years passed i am damn sure that this is the best branch i can pursue according to my potential. This branch includes mechanics , thermodynamics and design. The syllabus is defined and plotted according to the competitive exams which is helpful for students who want to appear for examinations like GATE, IIT JAM etc. As a part of improvement , syllabus should include learning of different softwares in this fast moving world. Autocad should be included from the first year of the course. But overall the syllabus is best for one who loves mechanics and solving practical problems.
Internships Opportunities
We get a decent internship opportunities to boost our academic career like in mechanical branch we can work with TATA , Jsl, DRDO etc. We pursue internship in 4th as well as 6th semester in which our college plays a major role in getting those internships. As in 4th semester you can apply for different IITs for research internship and can get upto 10000 per month stipend.
Placement Experience
NIT Raipur is known for its excellent campus placements. From 7th semester you are eligible for the campus placements. Various know companies visit NIT Raipur including Phone pay , zs associates. As this year i.e 2024 our 70 seniors got placement in Zs associates only. Also government companies like BPCL hires students and offert upto 22 lakhs ctc. As specifically we have minimum package of 7 laks per annum upto maximum of 22 lakhs per annum including core and non core profiles. Students from all the branches are flexible to pursue core and non core profiles like Software development , Data Analyst etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee Structure includes a total sum of 5,99,900 for the full B.tech course in NIT Raipur. Fee Structure includes several costs like tution fee , insurance , computer fee , library fee , medical fee etc. If you want to know more about that you can visit NIT Raipur websites precisely in the section of fee Structure. Also if you belong to reserved categories like SC/ST or if your family income lies below 1 lakh , your fees will be reduced to 60,000 for the whole B.tech course. Over that students from reserved categories take several benefits of scholarships like - Shravan foundation Scholarship. Scholarships are also provided to meritorious students who outperforms in their respective branches.
Campus Life
Yes this is the most attractive questions because of which several honeybees fly in. NIT Raipur includes several Clubs and Commitees for students overall development. We have numerous of clubs like Nrityam(the dance club) , Raaga ( the music club) , Motosports club(Racing club) , Robotix( tech club) etc. Over that we have big committees which organise our annnual fest including technical , finance , Innovation and cultural stuff. Some of the major committees are Sanskriti , Technocracy , Innovation cell and Entrepreneurship cell. One can enjoy as well as improve thier communication and leadership skills as organising central India's lagest fests is not everyones cup of tea. Also club like Motosports manufactures formula Student cars and participate in government events like Formula Bharat and SAE BAJA. Our institute lacks in some of the infrastructures but ensures to give best college life to their students.
Hostel Facilities
Applying in first year for the hostel is an easy task as it alloted to you on the basis of your residency. Its tough to get hostel if you belong to Home state but if Your Mains rank holds good then you can get hostel. In the second , third and fourth year you have to score good to achieve a seat in the hostel. Hostel facilities includes - cleaning of the rooms , table , chair and bed also it includes common room to study where we have lots of books for free of cost. Hostel cost is quite low as compared to residing outside the college. Yearly it costs around 54000 including caution money. To get the hostel one can apply through their mis portal. Meal in sirpur hostel is just perfect it includes brekafasts as dosa, idli, poha , sambarwada, parathe along with milk and tea. Lunch includes seasonal vegetables , salads , raita etc. On Fridays you can have delicious dinner of Chicken and rice. Its of quite good quality. You can reside in Kota or DDU also if u are not eligible for hostel.
Admission
ELIGIBILITY OF THE COURSE:- As a science student, precisely a PCM student mainly chooses engineering background in India. But as a large number of students pursue this field competition rises a lot. Therefore to divide students in a category NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY conducts JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION popularly known as JEE. Students from the Maths as a compulsorily background writes the exam. After the examinations students haveto go through a tough way of admission process including several documents preparation. Students have to abide by the timings given by JOSAA which is responsible for the admission process. At first, you have to choose institutes according to your priorities. According to your performance in jee mains you will be alloted a seat inmcollege . You can choose 3 options as FLOAT, SLIDE and LOCK. JOSAA includes six rounds in total in which you will get that institute which you got in you last round of JOSAA Counseling. You have to visit the institute for verification
