Course Curriculum Overview
The course of hotel management most of the people misinterpret that they don't have to study , but the course is a lot , you have a lot to study . Each and every subject has its practical and theoritical divisions. But the course is pretty exciting and covers a lot of practical knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
Out of the 6 sem , 1 sem is for internship which is a compulsion . So as the students do get the exposure to the industry . Now it is interview based , college arrange for companies to conduct interviews and select students. The college tries their best to get the students the company and the hotel they want but it is on the students whether they crack the interview or not
Placement Experience
The package that you get after hotel management is quite low in India . But this college does provide good placements. Name any good company , hotel , airlines , all of them do come in our college for placements. In the last placements I have seen people coming from different colleges in our college for interviews.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee is pretty much high for middle class people like me . For a central government college it must not be this high. Moreover the placements donot provide you much 3lakh is the min package , 6lakh is the max that you could crack. No scholarships for general , all the scholarships are available for SC st OBC and other castes
Campus Life
Campus Life - amazing in a single word but it's different, you won't experience the same college life you are familiar with , it's a lot different . Grooming standards , discipline but after all this it makes us a good human. The college has alot of events , by alot I literally mean it ! You will have a lot of fun in this college they do celebrate all of the events
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is not up to the mark , the restrictions that we have are alot more frustrating. The fees is a lot of hostel for which the services provided are not justified .the rooms are small. The building is quite old. No ac in the rooms. The thing that you get is a sea view . Meals are decent but for North Indians it does not fulfill our demands ,but the overall food is good.
Admission
As it is a Central government college we have to appear for an entrance exam NCHM JEE . The exam is a basic one 800 marks in total , you have to score around 580 to get into this college if you are general. But reservations are there.
Faculty
To be honest, the faculty is pretty good , experienced. They have been in the industry , worked there and knows how to teach us about the same . They have been in this teaching field for around atleast 7-8 years which is good. Although some of the newly appointments might not be as good as the old ones
