SRM institute of science and technology overview cum reality check

My interest in understanding and creating technology took me to take part in this course. The curriculum is an great initiative but cannot made us industry ready for that we have to work upon our own skills.This teaches us to tackle problems in real life.This course can be more wonderful if application based learning is promoted and rather teaching all the domains in the field of engineering focus more on domain curriculum and giving opportunity and time to explore by reducing no of hours or free periods. Exams are conducted almost every month which are quite moderate level

Students from 4th year beginning can start apply for placement while internship can be start from 2nd year itself. Companies like TCS , Wipro, Infosys, regularly visit s the campus. Although this year placements are degreded due to the recession and quite depressing for students but college provide ample opportunity to all This year almost 25 percentage students places with fine packages highest placement is around 30-40lpa this year by Wipro. My plan after getting a degree to crack gate

Recently in our session the fee is hiked from the 2021 batch around 1.2 Lakh this may have increased in duration after 10-12 years The total tution fee is around 3.2 lakhs per annum if you take hostel it will cost you around 1.5 to 2 lakh per annum depending on your preference. Also examination fees is excluded in tution fee. Very less student's get any kind of scholarship based on the entrance test.

Our college organises many good technical and cultural fests which includes innovate and rubaroo. Library is full of books during semester. Classrooms are fully air conditioned.Access to library is only with I'd card via machine check and many more.Our college also hosts many sports events at inter and intra level. There are many clubs also related all technical and cultural such as hackhound, geeksforgeeks, gdsc, iste, bitbucks, kalamgirietc

The admission process is not very frisky you just have to give an entrance exam which is quite easy and of ncert level and score a good rank approx 2-5k to get admission in cse branch there are several more specialisation branches also for cse such as cloud computing, aiml, cyber security etc. you can find application form on the official site. Here no reservation benefits are given hence give equality to all.

Professors are well qualified in the college.Most of them are Phd. Scholars. Faculty is to student ratio for each subject is approx. 120 is to 1 but still are easily apprachable, and it doesn't affect my learning experience much because there notes , practice sheets are enough according to the curriculum and also our doubts are also solved during the lecture period or in person after the lecture. Although they have a strict attitude but that is necessary to make discipline.They teach us as conventional method in terms of theory but also gives us opportunity to go through activities that helps us to learn better.

Written not but MCQ based admission test was there inorder to get eliglbe for scholarship based on merit rank list in the test. The test was very basic and easy. On the basis of ranks we get elegible for opting different courses and branches
