I was always more egaer to learn in practical field and interested in making my self more grommed and study plus work in around same environment and hotel management was perfect . The study material is a bit extensive and it almost contains the double of IGNOU though it a great opportunity to a lot more learning before the internship which is one of the most important thing for this industry . The teachers are great but as the time limit provided is so less that the teachers completes the syllabus in a shorter version .The study leave before the exams is very less and there no leaves in between so its almost like its going in hurry

I was not yet enrolled for any intership or job yet but as heard from the seniors the internships in the industries is very hard and its almost takes 12-15 hours some days and a lot of students leaves the course due to this after their industries but the job roles are quite good and rewarding after 3to 4 years . They usually takes GD`s and some short type mcq to conduct the interviews and also they create some research projects for students to help them getting a more knowledge regarding the isndustries and following sustaianable practicies

The students become elgibile for Internships in 3rds and 4th Semester and the get placed in companies in 5th Sem and get going in 6th sem almost everyone gets placed from IHM mumabi in some of the best properties like Marriots , Taj , Oberoeis, Itc , and the is a lot of scope for Management traine (MTS ) the highest in outside the industries is like 8lakh for like HR , sales , marketing and for with in the industries it is around 2-3 lakhs per annum ranging from 25k-30k per month along with 95% student getting placed every year , i have of though of doing my masters from mumbai in future being from maharashtra , Mumbai is one of the best place to live in india despite of the pollution ????

Being a goverment college the college fees is pritty high the ffes is almost 5 lakh for 3 year and 6.5 lakhs for 4 years s compared to other IHM's being in bombay its ovious that the cost of living is high but Mumbai's instution are charging for every events they are doing in college inspite of taking fees . Scholarship froms takes a lot of time to be verified but they do provide scholarships for reservation categories. As i am in the year 1 and our it is in the winter batch so i have not yet exprerinced such roles but the college do provide ODC which do gives us a very good understanding of how the industries works and with great stipends

The college is good as is it situated in mumbai it is wuite big with a hostel in front of the college , the college is full of activites going all round the year with some great entertaiment like CORNOCUPIA , Mumbais best Ganpati celebration , and this year they also hostel PLATINIUM jublie as this college is the oldest Ihm In india .Th college is well equiped with a good library carting essential Management books although sporting is not there at all the college has no physical or turf ground its just holds a basket ball ground with cemented floors and a space for parking where all the activites goes on , One of the biggest regret for me to see is that there is a lot of food wastage and the goverment should takes steps and innitivatives for this as well as the college .

The course required a 12th certificate with English in it and an aggregate of 50% along with your NCHM JEE rank the rank varies for Obc varies from 1500- 9000 in the fourth round last year the form can be found in the nchm website and exams usually takes place in the month of May and the application ranges from 500-1000 depending on reservation. The admission process is quite simplified and it only takes one day to physical visit to college to complete the admission. One can easily prepare for the nchm in a months time. However, it was a bit slow in Mumbai during the admission process as the faculty ratio is a lot less.

The faculty of the college is great one of the best and hardworking teachers always helpfull but its ratio to the students are very less and i have been seeing ads in the college website for the same that there is a requirement of faculty in college , teaching methods are dedicated towards the interest of the students and they create very unique slides for attracting the students and also provide the students with slides to help them in studying at home . There is comstant interaction with teachers as there the class of strength 84 is divided in two halves with one mentors for each so it really helps the students to study
