Course Curriculum Overview
My course is relevant because it progresses with the changes in technology in current times. The industrial visits also give us real ideas and the lab tools and machines are updated to current times, and that's a big plus.
Internships Opportunities
There is an internship and Placement cell of the college which prepares individuals for internships during the 4th Sem. The companies come around 5th semester and they take in a healthy amount of students for interns and a lot of them get PPOs.
Placement Experience
NIT provides campus placements and does that really well. All the branches are well placed. Circuital as well as non-circuital branches sit for almost all companies. The domains vary from software, core, and analytics to management. The average package is around 13lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees vary for the reserved category and General category as well as for foreign students. Scholarships are given out to students below a certain pay grade or belonging to some categories. There are banks that readily provide financial assistance during fee payments. There are not many employment opportunities in or around campus.
Campus Life
The club structure of the college is one of the best in the country. There are a lot of clubs according to one's interest and they are impartial while selection too. The sports infrastructure is good as well except for a few sports which need repair. Hostels are something that needs a major overhaul in comparison to other facilities.
Hostel Facilities
There are around 22 hostels combined. Because they were made quite some years back, they might not look as good as other buildings in the campus. Some facilities like cold water, regular water, and wifi are precarious. The fee structure varies for all.
Admission
For this college you need to qualify JEE Mains. The cutoff for courses in NITT vary from 97 percentile to 99 percentile if you're a general candidate. Then comes the JOSSAA counseling which gives you the seat in the college according to your rank. The process is hassle free and simple.
Faculty
Mostly the Faculties are highly qualified and some of them are recognised by foreign universities too. At times the assistant professors also take over lectures, they might not be as equipped but they get the hang of it over time. In general, the Faculties are helpful and guide well.
