Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very up to date, like many colleges start programming with C language but our college starts with python which is a very good step, also in first year there's a computational thinking subject which helps us to understand coding fundamentals. We have a very good curriculum according to market demand in data science. Teaching methods needs some improvement like there must be some live class regarding the whole week but it's acceptable. The frequency of exams is like we have a term of 4 months and in that there're 3 exams (quiz1,quiz2,end term) and there're weekly assignments which are graded
Internships Opportunities
Many companies like Aditya Birla group, ITC, Deloitte, And many data science based companies offered internships The average stipend of internships is around 25k/month as of now and many students are securing their jobs in companies
Placement Experience
In there 2nd or 3rd year students become eligible for placements, although college provide many internships and placements but still the average package is 8lpa as of now which is good. Many companies like Aditya Birla, ITC , Deloitte visited and hired some students I have no plans for masters as of now and will try to get placed If no on campus placement, then we can get a job offer off campus as the curriculum and skills will be up to date
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is very easy, like the whole fee for 4 years is around 3.5 lakhs and there're fee waivers and you can get upto 75% fee waiver. There's a annual fest in our college in which we can visit campus and enjoy the campus of IIT Madras
Campus Life
Paradox is an annual on campus fest which brings all the students come together and enjoy the iit Madras campus, alongside there're many other events like Sarang, marghazi etc. The central library have a tons of variety in books ????, the classrooms are modern and digital Sports and extra Activity are also very good There are many students run social groups on various topics like poetry, medicals, coding, e sports
Admission
For application process one can visit study.iitm.ac.in. Website and find there the application form There's a entrance exam for this degree which is quite similar to JEE but there's not any negative marking, you need atleast 50% to clear the exam and it keeps fluctuating every year, there's not any specific cut off but need atleast 50-60% marks. The exams level is high, I mean they are tough compared to other colleges exams There's not any kind of reservation just clear the exam
Faculty
Faculty members are well experienced and up to date according to curriculum, faculty to student ratio is ok ok. Teachers teach well, they are passionate about teaching. There are some course instructor alongside faculties to explain complex topics in a easy way. There are live sessions and meetings to interact with teachers
