Indian School Certificate Examinations (ISC) New Delhi .I scored 85% plus and opted for this college due to its excellent faculty and already established reputation.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was governed by Calcutta University and was in need of a great deal of upgradation. The coverage of various topics was good. However with the College attaining an autonomous status, course content has improved and is more relevant with the current senior.
Internships Opportunities
The campus placement was decent and covered well known listed companies as WIPRO, TCS, HDFC, HSBC, ICICI, ITC etc. Stipend for internships used to range from INR 2000 - INR 5000 in those days.
Placement Experience
The college had a separate campus placement program for those interested. A student passing out of St. Xaviers College didn't really have an issue getting a good fresher package in any company.
College Events
The college has a lot of events through out the year which has very good participation .Beyond Barriers is one such cultural event which gets over 20000 inter college students participating from all over kolkata.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very feasible. In 2003, the fee was extremely nominal and could not afforded by even the weaker sections of society. In 2003, we used to pay not.more than Rs. 400 per month as college fees. This includes monthly fees, annual admission charges and other miscellaneous charges.
Fees and Financial Aid
Have not availed of such facilities though I do believe that the college had a scholarship program for those that required the same.
Exam Structure
The exam structure was very frequent and spread over 4 semesters. Attendance in class was always compulsory and the college maintained a strict view on the same including punctuality. Irrespective. We students were definitely chilled out as soon you defin
Faculty
The faculty was undoubtedly the best in the industry with excellent teaching methodologies. Many of the faculty even authored books which were used by college students pan India for their University exam preparations.
