REC Azamgarh - A value for money College

Computer technology was the field that had always interested me since my childhood so I was quite sure regarding my choice of course and curriculum.Also the current trend of scopes associated in the field of computer science motivated me to opt for this course .I feel this course will enable me to convert my interest into a virtue over the four years course of my graduation.I am confident that I will be able to have a nice career in the field of IT . The course curriculum is strictly in accordance with the guidelines of AKTU .The semester exams are medium level exams that can be easily passes with some dedicated preparation.In addition to this class tests and Pre University Test are also conducted by the college every semester and in association with attendance and submission of assignment they play major role in determining internal marks .

Although I don't have accurate data of college placement statistics but still with all sort of information I have I will answer this.The students from 6th semester are eligible for placements and their is a dedicated placement cell which looks after the entire process.Numerous online interviews and placement rounds keep happening with students getting placed at an average package of 4-5 lakhs.However I have heard that those hirings are basically for BDA or sales profiles .The offline placement drive took place recently in March in which few students got selected .Majority of the students here opt for higher studies and some of them have cracked Gate with a good rank this year too.I have planned to get placed in a good IT company after my graduation.

Tution fee for the course is strictly around ?48000 per year and no such hike takes place as per college unless it's government's decision otherwise the fee slabs are constant through out graduation.The complete cost of the graduation per year including Course fee ,hostel fee ,mess fee ,exam fee and other charges is around ?1,10,000 which aggregates to 4,40,000 for the entire course. The college also provide benefits of state and central government scholarships as per the criteria and category.Since it's a government college so if all the paperwork is correct then scholarship always comes.However there are no scopes for campus employments considering the discreteness of location but students opt to online freelancing and paid internship

Since the college is still under construction so the campus Life is not at par with expectations.Their are lots of flaws with the construction related issues .Also their is no dedicated playground of the college still just outside the college students play outdoor games in a ground outside campus .The badminton court of the college is a hotspot location and the sports culture of the college with these limited resources is highly appreciable.In addition to this there are number of active clubs in the college and their events also take place but due to lack of subordination from authorities that typical college culture is missed .The classes are technologically well equipped however they lack air conditioning.The college is also home to Incubation Centre and many students of college have an active start up .

The rooms here are three seater.Every room has sufficient space ,two fans ,two tubelights and a dedicated balcony.The use of electric gadgets like iron and kettle is prohibited.The mess menu comprises breakfast,lunch, evening snacks and dinner.The food quality and mess menu is as usual and average . Registration process is quite easy and no additional work needs to be done .The discreteness of the location is such that PGs are not available.

The admission process was based on the councelling process conducted on the basis of rank in Jee mains Eligibility for the course are as usual for a Btech course .Their is no separate exam,the councelling is done on the basis of rank in Jee mains exam . There are high reservation benefits in councelling as per the defined standards however I being a general candidate got my course at 81 percentile .Their was some fees paid during councelling process which later gets adjusted in the college fees .I found the admission process quite easy so I don't think any change is required.

Majority of the Faculty members hold Btech and Mtech degree from prestigious institutes of the college and many of them posses Ph.d also while some of them are undergoing their Ph.d. The commitment of faculties towards teaching is highly praiseworthy and their sincerity towards teaching is a trademark of the college .Their helping attitude towards students is also appreciable.The student to faculty ration of the college is well controlled as the intake of a particular branch is only 60 every year and every branch has around 4-5 permanent faculties and as many guest faculties to handle teaching.The teachers are always available to the students to provide them with required insights and are very friendly.
