Course Curriculum Overview
Core curriculum is outdated.We are still learning about architecture of 8086 and 8051,whereas technology has gone way beyond .Industry skills don't match curriculum considering ECE.However there are many minor courses,open electives and nptel courses which you can study to stay updated.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees is Rs.125000 and hostel fees is Rs.85000.Annual fees including fest charges is Rs.24000Said it's government college but all together fees structure does come close to private college(like VIT,AMRITA)
Campus Life
Festember and Pragyan are big budget fest here but of which were too awful,or just say lost its hype it had till 5 years back.NITTFEST is inrer-department fest and is way better than above mentioned fest with 1/3ty their budget. There is Sportsfete for athletics events. There's a lot of lot of student-run groups like E-Cell,180DC,Sigma,Delta,Spider etc
Hostel Facilities
One chair and table is provided to each student. You should be lucky if router is out of your room.Theres a lot of data issues here.Mess food is below average.There are 7 messes and registration is done at end of each month based on first come first serve
Admission
You need to write JEE MAINS which would test your PCM subjects.It happens twice a year (in Jan and April and best of 2 is considered).Not much difference in GEN and OBC cutoffs.Focys on self study and solve pyqs.Remember it's about accuracy and efficiency.
Faculty
There are more than enough faculties. But issue here is half of them are sincere .Other half are just sadists who make easy subject look tough(For me it was my C language professor).Most of them care about extracurricular and call it waste if time.
