The coarse curriculum has changed in 2022 when the new education policy(NEP) was applied. Under NEP we study 4 core subjects within 1st year of college (2 per semester). NEP focuses on specialization and practical knowledge.

Losts of companies come to our college like:- Atlassian, Apple, Amazon, Oracle, DE shaw, Visa, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche bank, JP Morgan and many more. Most of the companies mainly cones for CS and ECE students. Stipend is pretty good and depends upon the student and company.

Placements are good every year except 2023 and '24 due to recession which affected major engineering colleges in India including IITs. Apart from that, companies which visit the campus include Apple ,Google, Goldman Sachs,Microsoft, JP Morgan, Amazon, Atlassian,D E Shaw and many more. The average package for my branch (civil) was 11 lpa for the year 2023.

The fee structure is such that for general students (non EWS) the fee per semester is 96000 including tuition of 65000 and other expenses. There is concession of fee for ews students, students below 1 lac family income and SC/ST students. Tuition fee is relieved for SC/ST and below 1 lac annual family income students and sem fee for them is 31000.

Culrav is our Annual fest typically held in March and Avishkar is our tech fest which mainly helds in November. Both goes for around 3-4 days. Library is not very good compared to other NITs. You can get books related to semesters or courses but anything other than that will be hard to find. Classrooms are good and facilitated with ACs and fans and have proper benches and lighting. There are lots of club and are very active. Regular sports event are held for almost every sport. There is a gym but not very big compared to the students. There is also a gym for girls. There are tech clubs also like Robotics, aero and astro club.

Only the 1st year hostel (SVBH) and final year hostels are excellent as they have enough space. 1st year hostels rooms acquire 3 students and are big and spacious. Also a separate study area is there attached to the main living area. The final year hostel are single seater and have good rooms with enough space. The second year hostels have small rooms which aquire 2 students having lack of space. Third year hostels are decent, single rooms are there.

For eligibility you have to give JEE Mains. And cutoff changes every year. Everything is done by Josaa councelling and CSAB. And after you have freeze the college in Josaa councelling you will get an Email from the college for further dates and forms. Reservation benefits are there for SC/ST and OBC it varies branch wise they can get a seat in less percentile also. Two exams are conducted in a single semester - Mid sem and End sem. Also practical exams are conducted only before end sem if you had a practical course in that semester. Difficulty of exam depends on the professor who set the paper. In admission process, Online everything is good but in offline some things can be improved.

The faculty members include assistant professors, associate professors, and professors. They are highly qualified, most did their PhDs from IITs or major foreign colleges. The student teacher interaction is good and profs are easily approachable.
