Course Curriculum Overview
The course is of 3 years which id divided into 6 semesters. There are variety of subjects or modules in the course curriculum and all the students have to go through a compulsory 4 month internship in their 2nd year. There are end term exams held in every semester and also practical exams as well. According to me, the curriculum is not as per the industry standards and need updatation.
Internships Opportunities
The internship duration is of 4 months and there are various companies for the internship opportunity like Taj, Hyatt, Accor, ITC, Marriott etc. Every student has to go through this training in all four core departments and then have to prepare a Internship report and presentation at the end of the internship.
Placement Experience
The campus placements starts in the 5th semester . The companies coming for the placements are - ITC Hotels, Taj, Hyatt, Oberoi, Hilton, Marriott, Accor, Haldirams, Bikanerwala, Praxis, Puma, Bira, CCD, etc. The average and highest pacakge is 3lpa and 4lpa respectively.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is somewhat affordable to every student, although it is a government college so fees is not a major issue. The complete tuition fee is cost around 3.5 lakh inr. Apart from this, there are various opportunities for the students during campus placements to get a job and start their career in hospitality. There are five star hotels, Qsr, etc coming for the placements and offer an average CTC of 3LPA.
Campus Life
There are variety of clubs, cultural and extracurricular activities available in the campus. There is accessible library for the students. There is Annual Function and Sports Day conducted once in a year.
Admission
The eligibility criteria is very simple. You need 60% in 10th and 12th and then you have to give a entrance test called NCHMCT-JEE, which held every year in the month of June. The application forms are available on the NTA website. There are reservation facilities for category students. The exams is not that very difficult and it's easy to score.
Faculty
The faculties are great and have industry experience in five star hotels, cruise etc. Apart from this the way of teaching is pretty good, all the faculties are very approachable to students and having a proper communication in terms of career, academics etc.
