A breif review about kc das commerce college

I have currently pursued bcom with a major in accounts which will help in accounting departments all over and the current NEP which added many value added courses makes it highly valuable. The areas to be improved in our college mainly in accounts department is the lack of coordination between the faculty members and the completion of syllabus is also not upto the mark. The frequency and timing of the exams are mainly decided by the Guahati university and is comfortable for each type of students to cope up with it.

The internships mainly being provided by CA firms to the students of accounts department and pursuing CA course from our college and the placement cell of our college has also provided a summer internship programmes for 5th semester students. The management houses of local companies have also provided many students of management course with internship.

Mainly students from 5th semester are recommended for campus placements and many local comapanies have made a visit in our college Highest package provided is around 8 lakh per annum and the average package being provided is around 3.5 lakh to 4 lakh per annum Percentage of students being placed are around 50 to 60 percent all total My plans after getting degree is to pursue mba from highly reputated college

As our college is government college the fees is very low as compared to private colleges but there is a need to pay extra for value added courses. The complete cost of my course ranges between 30,000 to 40,000 including value added courses Financial aid and scholarships provided by college if there is a proper income certificates and many types of financial aid are too provided mainly by the government The college has a placement cell which is efficiently working and career guidance is being provided regularly

Many annual and monthly programmes are organised by the union members and all types of festival being celebrated among the students in the campus. The range of books in our library is quite good but the accessibility depends upon the nature of books as there is a quite good number of students An annual sports meet is organised by the college but The involvement is outdoor sports like cricket,football is pretty low but the extra-curricular activities offered are quite high in numbers Many types of social groups and club are there in the college like debate club and many more

The admission process was very time-consuming as it was mainly handled by the government for universities in Assam There are no application fees for the course and the application dates are being notified on the official website of the college. There is no entrance exam needed but the admission is on a merit basis. Reservation benefits too can be availed. The admission process is smooth and is looked up by the union members hence There is no need for improvement here.

The faculty members are good and highly experienced mainly the head of the department. The management, department faculty is truly good but the accounts department do not fit with the expectations as our college being one of the reputed commerce college in Guwahati
