The College for future CAs

This college is the best option if you are pursuing any professional course along with graduation like CA, CS, CFA, CMA, interior designing etc.

The college follows CBCS curriculum under Calcutta university having 6 semesters and every semester have 1 internal exam and one exam conducted by the university. The course is aimed at improving my base of commerce and my knowledge about business and economics.

The college provides a hell lot of internship opportunities which helps to build your CV and in turn, the students with good CGPA gets a lot of placement opportunities too.

The college hosts the biggest concert in Kolkata i.e. UMANG and also hosts a lot of regular competitions and events, The Model United Nation, Quizzes and Debates, cricket tournaments etc. The college gives free counseling every week and there is a never-ending list of seminars taking place every day.

The average Fee of the college per year is approximately RS.40000 with a student coming from some other city to study here approximately needs 10-12thousand rupees for Paying Guest or hostels nearby. The college rarely charges anything above the college fees. The cafeteria is very affordable.

I have not opted for any scholarship or education loan. But any student who scores over 90% gets a scholarship from the college for exemption of one year's fees. In my Case I scored only 85% so wasn't eligible for the same.

The college has a very well maintained campus but a very small ground. It has a sports arena 2hich is very cool and a very amazing library the computer labs are well equipped and the labs too. the college has a number of debate competitions and other events including a fashion show, dance, singing completions, cricket tournament etc.

I didn't find very good connections with my seniors in the campus but however, the seniors staying in my PG from the same college were quite helpful. Alumni do show up for events.

I filled the admission form just a few days after my 12th results and waited for the cut off list. My name was in the cut off list and so I paid the admission fees and got my self admitted online. Anyone scoring a little over 55% can get admission so cut off the list is just a formality.

The major portion of our faculty members are either chartered accountants or Company Secretaries or LLBs. The Head of the department is a Rank holder and is a very good Mentor. The professors are very kind and friendly and they actually go out of there zone to help you.
