Honest review about my college

The curriculum I believe is really not that good in terms of gaining practical knowledge. The curriculum is old and needs to be changed in order to gain practical knowledge instead of just gaining theoretical knowledge. But this is the problem of the university under which our college comes and not an issue of the college I believe. The exams are held on time.

last year the placements were pretty good the highest placement in the college was around 45LPA in the year 2022-23 which I think is a very huge number for a tier 3 college. Average salary you can expect is around 3-4lpa and the placement is around 65-70% and it also depends on which branch you are in.

Fee structure is around 1lakh+ per year for each student. After taking this much fees I guess the resources they provide is pretty good for example the labs, computers and all the components are available but at the same time we have to give more money in order to take some records and book in which we have to write internals. Employment opportunities this year that is 2024 is pretty less as compared to the last year and it is obviously because of recession which might go on for the next year as well.

Infrastructure and the environment in the college premises is really good but the club involvement and all the social activities held in the college is not that good according to me( which might be different for some other person). All the activities they conduct, I don't know where they announce and when theyre conducted. Fest is the only good thing but it's a little too crowded do if you don't like crowded places I won't recommend you to attend it.

Hostel facility I think is really good. The hostel fees for first year is around 83k which becomes 76k in the next year. The food provided is really nice if you're a vegetarian. No non veg food is made in the hostel because of some obvious reasons so if you really like non veg i suggest you to not stay in the hostel. At the same time if you want to enjoy and make good memories then you should stay in the hostel.

KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is the examination by which a student belonging to Karnataka can get into any of the college in the state but if a student from a different state wants to get into the college then COMED-K is the exam which they have to give.

Almost all the teachers are well educated and have completed Mtech which is a good thing. But not all the teachers are well aware of what they teach. The teachers in our branch are mostly good enough for the students and they can make the student understand the concept which they try to teach.
