What Students Say
Likes
- Experienced faculty members and there teaching methods is also nice.
- I didn't opted for hostel but as my friends were living in hostel so from there experience I can say that hostel is just like any other engineering hostel
- Fests are amazing and clubs are also active
Dislikes
- Infrastructure need to be improved in the college
- As it is a government college so Election Voting is also done inside the campus due to which our exam schedule gets disturbed.(I personally faced this problem during our end sem exams)
- Exam time table is given this semester according to elections timings due to which students have given 6 theory exams in 6 days.Yes this need to be stopped.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is just like any other NIT/IIT colleges (outdated). But I liked few of my subjects like Maths 1,Maths 2,Phy 2 , Computer programming, Data Structures , Engineering Mechanics , etc.Semester exams were taken on time without any due and if you have studied for the exams then you will be getting majority of the questions.
Fees and Financial Aid
70000 (seventy thousand) per semester is the total fee (including tution fees which is around 63000) if you have not taken college hostel. If you got hostel then you will be paying 25000 more. This is the case if your family income is greater than 5 lakh. Now if your family income is less than 5 lakh but greater than 1 lakh then 2/3rd of your tution fees will get removed and only 1/3rd of tution fees will be charged to you,but there is no relaxation in hostel fees. If your family income is less than 1 lakh then your total tution fees will be removed.
Campus Life
I live with my parents as I have my home in the city were my college is ,so I only got to my college during working hours and then come back to home. But I have attended some of the fests and events,so I can talk about it.College campus is actually not good not bad,it is ok ok.
Admission
Addmission process was through JEE exam i.e. Joint Entrance Examination which is conducted by NTA. There are 2 stages of this exam,Jee mains and Jee advance.Once you get the percentile/rank in jee mains required to get into NIT RR (which you can see from last year cutoff) then you can sit for JOSSA councelling and get the admission.
Faculty
My experience with faculty members was mixed.I get to know one of the best teachers who are very much determined towards their work and also some of the faculty members who are teaching for just the sake of doing it.Overall if I say then out of 10, 7 teachers were best.
