Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is very close to the curriculum which is taught in most of the colleges of UP that come under AKTU. The curriculum covers a rigorous amount of things related to real-world applications of CS fundamentals. But still, there is scope for improvement on the mode of examinations as they need to be more innovative
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are more for core branches but for CS and IT branches, they are comparatively fewer. However, the college provides leave for internships if one gets a chance to intern. One can easily apply to any internships they want and will be provided with the leave they want except during exams.
Placement Experience
Campus placements were considerably good before the recession period and still now (2024) the average package is around 6LPA for our branch although many remain unplaced. This can be understood as the outcome of recession, although placements are relatively better.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is 75000 tuition fee for every year, and the remaining 60000 is for extra expenses. Scholarships can be availed via the UP scholarships. Moreover, there is no extra scholarship or financial assistance provided by the college.
Campus Life
The overall campus life is above average. Cannot be termed average because of the technical and annual fests which have the involvement of many celebrities. The library generally has the availability of most of the books needed for academic and research purposes. The college is also involved in numerous sports activities all year round. All the clubs continuously keep arranging various interactive activities which can transform the personality of any individual
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility was nice in the first year as we were provided with mostly single rooms which facilitated quality time for self-study. The mess was nice and the menu was made from our will. The registration for the hostel is done at the same time as the submission of the fee in the first year and from next year onwards, a portal for hostel fee submission is opened. The problem begins from 2nd year for boys as hostels from 2nd year onwards are in the west campus which is around 4 km from the main campus and for conveyance, buses are arranged by the college.
Admission
The admission process involved filling up the counseling form and then filling in the branch that one can clear. The cutoff for IT in the year I joined was 33000 for general rank. So anyone scoring around 97%ile can easily get the Information Technology branch. The only aspect I didn't like was the sliding fee which one has to submit which is non refundable and it is around 20000 for each of the 3 rounds.
Faculty
The faculty here is generally well-qualified and has good knowledge about the subject they are teaching. The only part where they lack, and which is concerning is their way of communication. They try their best to make us understand what they are teaching but sometimes fail. The faculty-to-student ratio can be a bit better but it is working fine for now. Also, interaction with faculties is the best part. Every faculty is ready to explain about everything any time of the day.
