Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our course curriculum is quite good. As NEP has been implemented in our batch, so the credits are quite higher in 2nd year and lower in 5th sem onwards, which would give us quite free time to prepare for internship and placement. Besides traditional mechanical engineering subjects, we have been taught introduction to AI, ML, also we have robotics and mechatronics in upcoming semesters. We usually have a mid semester exam and an end semester examination. Difficulty is a bit higher than GATE, but students do well with a preparation for quite a few days.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

We will be preparing for Internship from the next semester. Seniors will guide us, by organising resume review session, mock test and mock interview. Projects are also done under Robotics, Aerodynamics and SAE (Automobile) club mentors.

Placement Experience

4

Students in 7th semester or above are eligible for campus placement. Though for internship session, one need to be in 5th semester at least. In my branch, this year 2024, in spite of the recession, the placement is decent, around 75%. The overall placement of my college is around 70% My plan is to get placed in any PSU or in any automobile company.

Fees and Financial Aid

As of my knowledge, there has been no fee hike in recent times. The semester fees is 93500 Rs/semester and mess fees of 25000 Rs/semester. Some scholarships are provided by the college itself based on merits, also our alumni association gives some scholarship and student welfare office is there to help students get scholarship from outside organisations and govt scholarships.

Campus Life

4

Though the central library is not so well maintained, but I would say it is decent. But the social life is quite good. Almost in every month there is some event going on in campus. The clubs and committees are active through out the year. Also the technical clubs are quite helpful to provide us hand on experinece. Culrav (Cultural fest), Avishkar (Technical Fest), Udhbhav (Entrepreneurship fest), Eloquence (Literary fest), Chitrasangam (Media fest), Hack36 (Hackathon), BotRush (Robotics), Falcon (Aeridynamics event) etc are the main events of the college.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel facility is not as expected. Mess foods are quite expensive as compared to the menu. Only one or two dishes (including daal) is served. The fees is 25k rs per semester, though around 10k rs is refunded, but still they take the whole money for one whole year. Meal quality is decent, not very bad. But 15k Rs (25k-10k) is not justified in my opinion. Also power cut and internet issues are there quiet often.

Admission

The admission process is not so difficult. I appeared for JEE Main examination and after the result, I applied through JOSAA Counseling and simply followed the protocols. Unreserved Male students must have rank within 18000 (AIR) to get admission in my course. The admission process is quite student-friendly.

Faculty

4.5

There are total 40 faculty members in my department and total 600 students in department. Faculty members are quite supportive and helpful. They are easily approachable and can be interacted without any hesitation.

Other Applied Colleges

Malaviya National Institute of Technology - [MNIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mechanical Engineering)

MNNIT has better placement opportunities than MNIT.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
