Life at Niet

Data Science is an emerging branch for which I decided this course. The college curriculum is average, at last, you have to work by yourself to get a good recruitment. Partical-based analysis is quite important in the field of computer science and should be promoted. Teachers also have to understand the fact that without practicality things can't be conclusive. Exams at Niet are very frequent, none of single month is spent without internal and sessional exams but the difficulty level is very low you can easily score if you are concerned.

If you have chosen BTech as your course you have to pay around 5-6 lakhs for your 4-year degree. If you want to choose a college hostel as well then hostel charges are between 1-1.2 lakhs for an academic year. If you belong to the EWS section or any other category you can easily apply for a respective state government scholarship if you are eligible for that college will definitely help. Different coding and other contests are happening here and winning awards is also good in terms of money.

Colleges do not allow or focus on events frequently. But tech fest organised every month on a different domain. Extracurricular activities are not good here there exist many clubs at NIET but not any clubs get freedom from the authorities. First-year students are not allowed to participate in any kind of study. At NIET you always going to feel like school, and college life is not nourished here.

If you are looking for BTech, there are two ways to take admission one is direct and the other is through counselling of jee mains. If you want to be admitted direct you must have more than 90 per cent marks in class 12 then only you can get core CSE and if you are between 75 to 90 you can easily get a CSE with specialisation. For direct admission, you have to visit the college campus block A. Everything will be done by your counsellor and for jee mains students things go through the nta counselling rules

When it comes to faculty to student ratio, I think it is quite good. But when it comes to the quality that a faculty should have, i think this should be improved because many of them don't have enough knowledge about their domain. Their behaviour towards students is also quite good, but very keen on attendance and all the academic stuff. Interaction of students with teachers is quite good, if any student wants to have healthy conversations with respective teachers on academic topics or wants any kind of help with a mentor then this facility is easily accessible
