Course Curriculum Overview

The course is for five years. It is an integrated course of Bcom and LLB..that is by the end of the 5th year. You will have two degrees. Exams are conducted at the end of each semester. The facilities in our college are quite good for coming out as a successful lawyer. There are moots and many other programmes.

Placement Experience

There are no placements. But college provides you with a compulsory internship before you finish the course.

College Events

All the events are celebrated in our college. Academic-based or not based. Every celebration takes place in the college beginning from the new year to Christmas. It also includes law day, Republic day..independence..environment reading and much more. Apart from this national moot courts are also held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees in the college are very low as it is a government college. The fees are 1500/ per annum. First-year during admission you have to pay an amount nearly 4000/- that includes PTA moot and else. There is no other extra expense in the college.

I haven't opted for any scholarship or education loan yet for my college studies. As the college fees are very low.

Campus Life

One can have the best college life in His highness Maharajas Government law college Ernakulam. The Gender ratio is almost equal. Debates happen most of the time in college on various topics. Most of the students participate in all of them. There are seminars happening.

Hostel Facilities

I stay in a private hostel as a college hostel is available only from the second year due to less vacancy available there. The hostel fees for me is 5200 per month which is very high compared to my college fees. My hostel fees include food and accommodation.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are of great help in academics related to exams and notes and lectures...It is of great help.

Admission

First, you have to write the KLEE and you have to score a rank below 150. KLEE EXAM covers gk legal aspect English etc. The total score is 600. If you score above 300. Your admission to government law college Ernakulam is assured. Then you will be getting the allotment letter for joining.

Faculty

Some of them are permanent teachers and others are guest staffs. All the teachers are enough qualified for their subjects. Especially legal subjects comprise a good faculty. I would give a rating of 4/5 for law subject faculty and a rating of 3/5 for business subject teachers.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in there 6th semester during 3rd year. The students has to score highest grades and should be capable of any skills and has to showed up in academic skills are eligible for getting placements. Sometimes the federal banks and other service centres approached the college for placing the students. The students from our department are placed in companies like( Tata Consultancy services and Accenture) . I think the highest package and average packages are around 25000. After all, my plans are degree is to getting placed in any reputed companies and further more.

Remarks:

Our college is the best but the college have not a college bus and a canteen. The students are come to the college with bikes and cars and private bus and students are eating food from out of the college campus and other hotels.

I didn't apply for any other colleges. I had scored 92nd rank in 2020 KLEE examination so I eventually got the college that I preferred. I chose this college for its faculty, library, and also for its history plus its near to my home. The admission process is really smooth.
