How good is IIT Jodhpur

A lot of the courses of the first year prepare you relevantly for the upcoming courses. Some of the courses here it IIT Jodhpur have made a lot of student relevant to the industry standards. Anybody who wants to really learn about stuff faces no hindrances. The only course curicullum error I see is the exam system with it not being in the form of the conventional way of "mid-sem and end-sem". Some of the specific aspects that influeced me to choose this branch of engineering was that electrical engineering was something I always had interest in. It also had relevance with a lot of mathematics. The frequency of exams as mentioned above must be reduced.

All of the tech giants visit the campus looking to hire students. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Amazon, Facebook visit the campus. The college also provides a lot of opportunities for internships in the college. You need to be skilled in the field you are applying in and have good academic record along with no unsatisfactory grade in the non-graded courses.

I am not aware about the tuiton fee increase policy but the current tuiton fees is 100000 Rs. per semester. The hostel and mess charges along with other utilities cost 19000 Rs in total per semester. They are other non-refundables and emergency payments given at the beginning of your first semester. There are very less campus employment opportunities her in IIT Jodhpur. There are a lot of scholarships available about which you keep recieveing emails about.

There are a lot of fests held in this college but there are majorly three fests namely VARCHAS, PROMETHEO and IGNUS. VARCHAS is the sports fest, PROMETHEO is the technological and entrepreneurial fest and IGNUS is the cultural fest. VARCHAS is held around November, PROMETHEO around January and IGNUS around March or February. All the requried books for academics are available in the library. Sadly there are no novels available in the library. All the classrooms are well equipped with the teaching equipment along with being air conditioned. All of the major sports are played in this college and all the equipment for the same is available in the sports complex of IIT Jodhpur. Other extracurricular activities are really frequent in the campus. A lot of cultural clubs are active in this college. If anyone wants to get involved in the tech clubs they are active as well.

You are provided with an almirah, a bed, and a study table along with a cushioned chair. As previously mentioned, you are also provided with air-conditioning in every room with the room being single-occupancy. You are also provided with a courtyard in every hostels along with a garden in every hostel. There is a games room along with an ill-equipped gym. There is also a TV room present. Every floor is provided with 12 toilets for around 70 people. The same number of bathrooms are provided along with hot water. The hostel registration process was also fairly simple and easy and really quick. The hostel is also quite affordable when compared with other colleges.

Me getting a rank around 6000 in JEE Advanced was eligible to apply for Electrical Branch of IIT Jodhpur. All the application forms, fees and dates are well provided on the academics site of the college. The complete admission process is conducted very smoothly including all the document providing and the fee payment. There are really no improvements required in the admission process.

The faculty members carry knowledge of whatever subject they are teaching. The student to ratio is appropriate such that every student can easily ask his/her doubts. The grading system of this college also seems pretty fair to me. It is pretty easy to interact with any teacher or professor here at the college. You can simply write an e-mail to the concerned individual and he/she will respond.
