What Students Say
Likes
- the green campus: being located in the outskirts of the city, the campus is full of greenery .
- the faculties: some of the faculties are really nice and helpful
- diverse environment: students from various socio-economic background come together to create a good environment
Dislikes
- a lot of biharis: don't get me wrong I'm a fan of biharis but due to drcc a lot of undeserving people also get to study here and ruin the campus environment
- dangerous location: the college is located in the outskirts of the city and its not safe for girls to roam around the campus even during the day time
- delayed results: my 1st semester result took 3 months to get published
Course Curriculum Overview
currently,I'm in second semester. I'd say out of all the subjects taught in both first and second semester, only mathematics and programming for problem solving i found relevant. even though they've added chemistry physics etc, they're pretty easy to score good in as the papers are mostly repeated questions of previous year
Fees and Financial Aid
as a btech cse core student, I pay 50,000 rupees tuition fees per semester. they give you scholarships upto 20% based on your marks in jee mains and boards. here however, unlike most engineering colleges, board's marks can solely be considered, even if you haven't given jee. i personally got scholarship based on my jee mains marks but most of my classmates never attempted jee. if u are from bihar and belong to the ews category, you'll get extra benefits like aided hostel and college fees
Campus Life
campus Life is not so good according to me. the people here are very cheap. even fests are very rare here, i didn't even recieve my freshers party yet (it's may already). library has a few good books but they don't maintain it hence the shelves are messy. projectors are available in few classes only and not a single classroom has smart board. they're trying to involve children in sports but it's still in the making. clubs are not that active except for a few
Admission
the admission process is very simple. just visit the website, fill the form and submit the required deposition fee. there's no reservation for sc/st. you need to be 12th pass to be eligible for this course. there is no entrance exam you need to clear, direct admissions are done here
Faculty
most of the faculties of the engineering department are underqualified. the few good ones that accidentally join, leave within few months. for example my programming teacher who was really good and knowledgeable completely barely half the module and left in between without any prior information. he just told us our class is cancelled and everyone will get attendance and that's how he wasted our time
Other Applied Colleges
Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
too expensive
