Course Curriculum Overview
According to my JEE mains rank and other factors like Home to college distance, my choice for the engineering branch leads to my choosing Civil Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur. The curriculum focuses on theory and practical aspects both which will be beneficial for real-world application.
Internships Opportunities
Talking about internships, the college gives enough opportunity to students to opt for internships but in the IT sector and only 5-6 companies are offering internships in the Core sector. If any student gets an internship then the chances of getting PPO are probably 90%.
Placement Experience
Placements are good in NIT Jamshedpur. From the 4th year of Btech, students become eligible for campus placement. There are many companies that have recruited from our college like L&T, Adani, O9 Solutions, etc About 90% of students have been placed in the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a fixed fee for all branches i.e. 62,500 per semester. There is a tuition fee increase policy because the fees are decided by the central government and they have decided 62500 per semester as tuition fees for every NIT. The complete cost of the education is about 840000 for the 4 years of B.Tech including all the fees like tuition fees, hostel fees, mess fees, and Institute fees
Campus Life
There are mainly two festivals which happens in the college in the period of January to May . The OJASS, the techno-management fest of the college which happens in April or May. The CULFEST, the cultural fest of the college which happens generally in winter season like January and February.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are spacious. There are single-seaters for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students and double-seaters for the 1st year students. The meal quality is average and the menu is nice as they server pasta, noodles, and other fast foods also.
Admission
The admission process is simple you have to take the JEE MAINS exam and get a sufficient percentile to get the NIT Jamshedpur. After the exam, you have to do counseling for the allotment of seats in NIT Jamshedpur. After the counseling has been done and the seat gets confirmed then you have to come to College with the documents needed by the college and verify them to get admission in college.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is average for every 40 students there is one faculty available. The faculty have high qualifications like PHD and all. They teach us well and they are approachable when any help is needed by the students.
