My experience of pursuing Computer Science Engineering at SJCE Mysore

I have chosen this course because it integrates both technological subjects as well as provided business insights by including subjects such as management, finance and also educates in the concept of constitution.all these subjects play a major role in preparing the student to face the real world making them practical as well.But the cons maybe cumbersome subjects.Each semester may consist of a mixture of various subjects from various domains thus being difficult to grasp for some.

Internships are given by various companies few being Fidelity,wdc, Deloitte,visa,moody, NetApp and so on.the trend seen nowadays in internships is 10-11 months internship before placements.These are offered by the company for which the stipend can range from 30000/- to 50000/- per month.

The campus placements are decent despite the market going into recession the placement cell is very active and continuously brings offers.The average package for the CS department can be 12lpa also my plans after the degree would be to get a job and work for a few years later pursue an MBA.

The fees is different for different categories mine being general and through merit i had to pay 101163/-.Various scholarships are also available depending on the students satisfiability with the laid down constraints.I found the courses to be generally affordable considering the fact that scholarships are also available.Some scholarships are SSP and many other scholarships are available.For a general candidate Tution fees are 62073/- and other fees are 39090/-.other details can be viewed on the official website of the college.

The campus has a variety of clubs such as technical clubs including CSI,Linux campus club etc and also clubs like sahas adventure club,shadb literature club etc.it provides the student with a variety of opportunities to showcase their passion and fulfill their hobbies.the campus also has a full fledged library where books can be borrowed.The college has an annual fest called Jayciana which is a colorful and entertaining event which has various parties,dance night and many more events.various tech fests and club fests are also conducted.

I had got my admission to the college through KCET.while COMEDK can also get you a seat in the institute.I had secured a rank of 4294 in the KCET exam which gained me a merit seat in general category for CSBS.The admission process was hassle free as after the exam the college is allocated and one can visit the allocated centre with the documents mentioned and complete the admission process.

All the faculties that teach in the college are well qualified some being PhD holders as well thus imparting immense knowledge.Teachers are easily approachable considering one can ask doubts or clear concepts either in the class which itself is interactive or can approach the teachers in their respective cabinets.
