Course Curriculum Overview

The Courses are very interesting and very helpful for our future endeavours. The Courses like gender studies, environmental science, fundamentals of music, dance studies, English literature and many other course give wider perspective of the electives and help to develop a multidisciplinary thinking capacity for students and develop a good idea of knowledge on all spheres. The social science students can also take elective from other science departments like maths, physics, geology, biology and etc... The NEP is implemented fully in the campus and it helps the students in overall development. The timing of classes for undergraduate students starts at 8am and ends at 6pm . But it differs to the course selection and a student maximum have 5 hours of class a day.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for education including academic, hostel and other mandatory fees is very affordable compared to other universities. The academic fees for a undergraduate students in a year is around 10000/- that is 7500 in odd semester and 2500 in even semester. The hostel fee is divided into hostel room rent and mess fee , the room rent is 1000/- for Year and mess fee is paid according to the monthly expenditure of particulars in mess, the maximum fee for year is 25000/-. So the overall charge for a year costs around 30000 to 40000 and the fee hike is not less than 5% and it depends upon the financial session in the university councils. There are various scholarships and financial assistance for students. The national and state scholarships are applicable and there is university scholarship from Hcu,it is named as DAG scholarship where university selects 1000 students who are financially unstable and give around 1000 rupees per month.

Campus Life

There are different programs and festivals celebrated in the campus. The 3day fest of Sukoon is one of the large and biggest festival in Hyderabad Central University. There are cultural and religious festivals celebrated in campus to entertain students and celebrate there respective religious festivals. ABVP is a student political organization which celebrates every hindu festivals like Diwali, Holi, ugadi and etc which connects the home and help the students connect each other. The ugadi celebrated by the NSUI is one of the Biggest ugadi celebration in hcu where the cabinet ministers of Telangana state where invited. The sports tournaments are frequently conducted between students like the football night cup and cricket night cup. There is less focus on other sports and the training for good athletes is very rare. The facilities in library is top standard and there are many books related to every topic . There is online and offline source to gain knowledge in hcu

Hostel Facilities

The food is somewhat good . The mess provide veg and non veg for students. The food in a day consists of rice , chapati, dal, chole bature and many other curries like brinjal, egg, potato, chicken and etc The mess fee ranges from 2500 to 3000 in a month . The hostel room rent is 1000 per year The student who get admission in HCU will get hostel in the same day and the registration and hostel process is very fast . There is enough hostels to give enough facilities to every student of Hcu. The hostel is affordable and very good for students

Admission

Admission to HCU for undergraduate courses and Postgraduate courses is only through the CUET exam conducted by the NTA every year. The exam is conducted every year and the application fee varies from 700 to 2000 rupees. The difficulty of examination is not so tough but the competition between students is very high. The reservation is all done in the procedure made in the constitution and follows the government of India. The exam is computer-based and written. The time of exam is for 1hour.

The Faculty in Hyderabad Central University is top class and some are high profiles, The faculty of social science courses specially Political science and sociology is one of the best in India. The Classes are very interactive and interesting, where every student have a space to clear and raise a doubt. The undergraduate students ratio with teacher is 1:13 and every professor can clear your doubt at any time . The university mail will give us the option to contact any professor and any department at any time for clearing doubts. There are PHD scholars under the supervision of professor, where they also clear our doubts . We also have personal tutor to clear doubts . The ratio of personal tutor is 1:2 and every tutor can be contacted at any time. There will time when tutors call you everyday at the time of exams. Professor's also give us some research tasks which will improve our cognitive ability to delve into the course much properly.

From the last semester which is the 6th sem, the students are allowed to go for placements. The companies that visited included Deloitte and other companies as such. that visit the college. And the highest package was around 5 lakh per annum. The placements were in full go only for courses like BCOM or BSC Computures, there were no placement opportunities for the course of B.A. There did not take any recruitment take place as such for our course. The percentage of students getting places was very low. The average package was 1 to 2 lakh per annum.

The college provides a lot of opportunities. The final year is the time for placements. Top MNC companies come here for placements and select the best. Students need to be prepared for the placements. They are done by the topmost MNCs.
