NIE-One of the best college in karnataka for engineering

The college and management are really good, there are no major bad things to review about the college, its one of the best college in Karnataka to study that too in more (lovely city). The mechanical engineering department has a great center of excellence.

The course curriculum is structured very well, not too burdensome to study nor too easy, however one needs to study well to score well. It's an Autonomous college, the course curriculum is not exact as the VTU course curriculum. There are many opportunities provided for doing research and faculties support & guides us well to become a good professional.

Placements at NIE are very good, it's one of the best in Karnataka in placements. CS, E&C, IS students well get almost 100% placements in reputed companies with his Packages. Mech, EEE students also get placed in good core companies.

The college fest which so occurs during the first week of March, it will be for 3 days, though there are many events in the fest, it will not be as great as other few colleges. Inter-branch sports week be conducted during the fest. Apart from this, all branches have their separate fest.

For government aided seats the college fee will be around Rs.27000, and for unaided seats, the college fees will be around 55k to 60k (including government fees). There will not be any other fees except this, however, if you want to learn to any other courses apart from the curriculum you need to pay the respective course fees.

There will be scholarship from the government like the Karepass scholarship for Obc students, there are scholarships for SC, St students also. And apart these there will be few more scholarships also.

Campus life is a memorable one, it's not a big cake in the area but you will get everything here. The equipment in the labs is in good conditions. Our college supports many extracurricular events. They support for few major competitions like SAE supra & Baja events where students will build an F1 car. And also many events on robotics, aerodynamics etc are held in our college.

The alumni of the college are very supportive, the seniors help us in the lot in ways either in curriculum or any events or in sports, they are very friendly to junkies.

I got admission through diploma CET and my Diet rank was 97. To get admission in this college you need to do really well in the CET exam. The admission process is very similar to any other college, the admission process in college will get over within a day and it basically happens in the first week of August and you also need to do course registration.

The faculties in this college are really supportive & they help students if they are willing to do any projects, internships or any other works. There are few centers of excellence in colleges, the faculties conduct good courses in those centers & students can learn many things in those centers.
