The college overall has a great environment to hang around, have your fun college moments to cherish etc. Academics and college life go hand in hand very well. The management is perhaps one of the negatives of the college. It runs like a typical government office and you can't expect much from. Any office work for the students would be amongst the biggest headaches they'd face all year.

I'm pursuing my final year BA in psychology. The course follows the Savitribai Phule Pune University's syllabus. One needs to select their major subject in their 2nd year(SY). Psychology has 3 subjects in SY, viz Abnormal Psychology, Positive Psychology & Social Psychology. These give you a basic idea of all aspects of the subject as a whole.

There are no such placements at the Graduation level. However, the college allows internships at the PG level. Students are allowed to do internships on their own in the IG level.

The college conducts the World Mental Health Awareness Day every year, which makes sure that in various ways. Awareness is spread throughout the college campus. The annual fest of the Department named Beautiful Minds is also a grand event.

The First Year fees come around a mere 2000 rs and this is common for all. Psychology Department has a merit list in the 2nd year and this has 2 sections of Grant and Non-Grant. The Grant fees come up to 3000 rs and not grant to 5000. For the Third Year, the Non-Grant fees go up to 6000.

The Department of Psychology has 2 sections of Grant and Non-Grant. The fees go up to a maximum of 6000 rs annually and hence no loans or scholarships are needed.

The college is very diverse in aspects of the crowd, lifestyle, activities etc. In BA you would generally see more females than males and especially in psychology where our batch has only 7-8 guys out of the total strength of 48. However, this doesn't really affect anyone badly and one could easily cope up.

There ain't a very active alumni group since there would be thousands passing out of the college every year. However, they do have their meetups but don't generally tie up with the current students.

I got into Nowrosjee Wadia College after my 10th through the centralized process on merit for Arts. The college provides an in house facility so that the students who completed 12th could pursue their graduation without any merit list or another process.

The Psychology department of Nowrosjee Wadia College is perhaps amongst the best anyone would find in the city. Driven by not only the syllabus and curriculum it provides students with practical knowledge. The department also allows students to actively participate in events such as The World Mental Health Awareness Day and the Department Annual fest named Beautiful Minds.
