Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is above average if a look at the same now in the end of my 2nd year. This involves Engineering Mathematics right in the first sem with other subjects such as Basic Electronics and Basic Electrical Engineering as well which gives us an idea of the other branches basics as well. They do have Computer programming for the upcoming freshman as well . All the subjects of the GATE examination are also involved that too in a detailed manner. I consider the curriculum to be above average and I would give it a rating of 8/10.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Its good as the college provides us with various internship opportunities every now and then by making us aware for the opportunities that are present for us. There are no companies visiting the college specifically for internships but we are always aware of the opportunities with the help of the Training And Internship Cell. Also the professors of certain branches provide summer training to students under them.

Placement Experience

3

The college placements are good. It is an university with more than 1150 students studying in a particular academic year and soo does the average gets down. But If we only talk about Bachelor Of Technology the placement are fine and good. The average package stood 6.9 LPA and where as the highest package stood at 52 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees as of now is 56100 for the particular semester and it add ups to 96000 for the complete year. Most likely a particular tuition fee is mostly Modified after a gap of 3-4 years. In every 3-4 years the administration increases the tuition fees with an increase of 5000-6000

Campus Life

4

The infrastructure here is not too good it's average. The classes are well maintained with really good benches some of them do have projectors as well. The campus life is good as the campus size is 364 acres. There are a lot of clubs to join like the Dance club, music club, finance club, Dramatics Club and many more. So is the same for sports club as well. We really do have a lot of fun.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels were built way back in the 1960's soo there is no good infrastructure. There are 7 seven boys hostels and 4 girls hostels. Every year has an different hostel to live in with. The mess is not soo good so is the case with most of the engineering colleges in India. We have common rooms with Table Tennis, carroms and also for outdoor games we have badminton courts as well. It's fun living here in the hostels.

Admission

The college intakes students through their ranks in the JEE-Mains. There is cut off for all the branches. It is an government engineering college soo there is no management quota here. The application process was a smooth one we didn't have to tire ourselves up for the same.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio depends and varies according to branches. Each branch has few Professors few Assistant Professors and Guest faculty as well. If I talk about my particular branch the faculty - to - student ratio is 1:7 which is find is good enough. I am not aware of the faculty to student ratio of other branches. The professors of my branch are really helpful and supportive as well as long as the student in interested to gain knowledge from the same. The professors always engage with the students and increase their moral and motivate them to appear for GATE exam in order to have a better future in the field of chemical Engineering.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
