Course Curriculum Overview

4

Since doctor is being considered a noble profession and my parents wanted me to become a doctor that is why i chose this. Curriculum prepares us well to be a good doctor with having more practicals than theory but only if the college follows NMC guidelines fairly. I think this ppt should be only used for video purposes whenever demonstrating anything and fir theory there should be chalk and talk method. Usually there are 2 terminal exams and send up and lastly a proff exam . Difficulty level remains high not because of competition but syllabus

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Internship is provided by the samenm college and they give a stipend of 12 thousands a month with a very huge workload. You usually work under PGs and like a labour you have to be standing there from morning to the evening

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee for the course roughly sums upto ten thousands a year. The college doesn't provide any scholarship but there are some faculty members who help poor students to get their books for the course. Besides this hostel fee almost sums upto 6 thousands a year without mess expenses which are almost 5 thousands a month. There is no campus employment service

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life i would say is average because it is almost 3kms away from the college for boys but for girls it is within the college premises. A sports week is held annually where all the games are being played and trophies are distributed among winners. There is a library in college and a study room in hostels. A smart classroom is there.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Cleaning facility has been recently started. You can call electrician anytime for repairing anything. Electricity 24×7 hrs. Meal is average and usually veg in lunch and non veg in dinner but there is separate menu for non vegetarians

Admission

NEET is the eligibility for the course and in my times there was 565 cut off roughly and i had 589 . After getting a seat in counseling you can simply visit there adminstrative block and get yourself admitted after depositing the admission fee which was 32 thousands at my time

Faculty

2.5

No doubt there are well qualified teachers here and the faculty student ratio is also very large si that a teacher gets only a topic fo an entire session. Their approach of teaching is as per NMC and in integrated manner and deliver lectures as ppt. Most of the times you can interact with any teacher but because of the toxicity complex students usually hesitate to interact with faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Chose MBBS by my choice The more the practical and clinicals u perform the better u understand things rather than books . Real life experience is important I think what should be improved is that focus should be more on things that are more important for being a doctor. More towards clinical aspects more towards practical performance and less on things needed to cram Timing for exam of 80 mark is 3 hrs and is quite good enough time. 20 marks are of mcqs so total 100 mark.
