- No placement and internship opportunities
- No hostel facility. Hostel facility would have great impact on overall college experience of outside Delhi students
- Committees and cell can be more active as compared to other colleges
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well structured and according to the guidelines laid down by Bar Council of India. The curriculum has many projects to prepare for. The curriculum mandates doing internship at regular interval. However the revised syllabus has included 7 subject in first year which I think is not right.
Fees and Financial Aid
Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies is one of the rarest college which is top rated but also has low fee as compared to other colleges. The annual fee is around 1.2 lakhs which is very low as compared to other colleges. You will spend around another 1.5 lakh for stay in Delhi
Campus Life
Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies has two libraries. One for academic purposes and other for legal research. All major books, novels, journals, newspaper are available in the library. All classrooms have ac and projectors. VIPS has basketball court and other sports which take part in various inter-college sports events. Some societies are quite active like moot court society, debating society, legal aid, NCC, NSS and they organise various events but other societies need to be active. VIPS has many cultural fests happening at the campus of other branches and they typically are held in NOVEMBER -DECEMBER.
Admission
The admission process in Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies is done through the centralised counselling conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. To take part in counseling you have to first appearance for CLAT OR CUET UG. The application form can be found in ggsipu website.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is quite good. All classes have about 60 students per teacher. The faculty members are well qualified and they teach well. Various activities are organised by the faculties to enhance the learning experience. We can approach the teacher during the class and if we have some problem then we can reach out to them via email or personal interaction. The college also allocated personal mentor for each student for mental health.
