- I liked the university campus, it's soothing I go everyday for a walk, I like the nature of the campus so much .
- The teachers of my class are really helpful and very kind to the students but few teachers aren't not that good.... Anyway they teach in a good manner
- I stay at University hostel and the facilities in small money is so good... hostel ma'am is good and the guard are also good...I liked the hostel environment but yes there are few bad people everywhere so there are few uncultured people too
Dislikes
- I don't think I disliked the college that much... But students the classmates I found them a little over and really into themselves they rarely talk to others and are really egoistic
- Politics is good I support that but few students forced the newly admitted students to join politics which is not right...If someone really wants to join they will join by their will
Course Curriculum Overview
I first wanted to take admission in international department but later I got in comparative literature...the subject was really so new to me but I have enjoyed reading some topics I have in my syllabus...the subject doesn't have that much connection with the real world but I hope the syllabus get changed and add some topics that are really interesting and connect with the real world... The students get 2 hours for 30 marks questions we for now don't feel any difficulties to write on the time so it is enough for us
Internships Opportunities
Engineering students get placed from our university the companies like Pwc,Tata, Samsung, bajaj, Texas Instruments, Google', Apple, etc company comes to our college for the placement and for internship also We have a lot of seminars and students get opportunities to show their project and their own work my classmates also has participated in one and showed her work
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee of my course is 1235 yearly... I have a tution which takes 2500 in a month.. we have different scholarship opportunities like Swami Vivekananda's scholarship, minority scholarship and freeship scholarship many more In jadavpur university they provide internship, placement but to the engineering students..arts students rarely get any placement and if they do that is after their masters
Campus Life
Annual festival do get celebrated very well like Durga Puja, saraswati puja, Holi, iftari Library is open for all but to enter the library you have to have the library card then after that you can enter and take away any essential book. Extra curricular activities do exist in the campus like ju dance forum,gfm for modeling or fashion show, drama group, the students who are really active and likes to play football do their practices on the campus main ground. Any students who are active very much they are intelligent also and balance their work and their studies in good way but not all the students can make it some students those are really intelligent and really passionate do their work at right time
Admission
I did take entrance exam the eligibility criteria differ it might be 50% or more than that... The good facilities are available here the students can get application form of the entrance from the website easily but logging in jadavpur university website..the university has some reservation benefits like the students who has reservation the chances of getting into the university gets more easier for them but yes you have to take the exam in a good eay , the admission is based on the rankings of the entrance exam
Faculty
Teachers are highly educated some teachers hold masters degree and some are PhD holders also some teachers has double masters in different subjects...we are first year students... My classmates have passed their xii exam and got into b.A first year department of comparative literature.... The stuff faculty is okayish but one thing I noticed is that they do take care of the classes the washroom... I have seen them putting hand washes everytime it gets finished and the bathroom remains cleaned...I mean average clean...
