Overall college review of JIIT Noida

The computer science course is very well designed. It covers all the basic concepts and take you till the hardest concepts. It also covers the real world problems and prepares for placements. But I think the course pace is a bit fast and can be slowed down. The frequency of exams, test and lab viva is very high. There is some sort of test in every 2 weeks due to which revision of all topics for the end semester exams is a bit tough.

The college offers internship opportunities in the 3rd year of college. Students who applies for internship can get internship. Many companies offer internship and the average stipend varies from 20 thousand to 2 lakhs per month. Companies that often visit for internship are Amazon, Google, Flipkart.

The placement season of college starts right after you complete your 3rd year of college and goes for the next 2 semesters. There are equal number of companies visiting for CSe and ECE branch. Companies like Google Microsoft and Adobe visit every year and 3 to 4 offers are offered by each. Last year Amazon gave the highest package of 1 cr then Adobe gave package of 70 lpa. Almost 90 percent of students who qualify for placement are placed. My plan after getting degree is to go for higher studies.

The tuition fee per semester is 1.5 lakhs which is 3 lakhs per year . It is very decent for a private college in the NCR region. Also there is 1 lakh hostel fees per semester which is 2 lakhs per year. For 1 lakh per semester the hostel facility is quite good. The are not much of scholarship that you can get unless you have a great rank in the entrance exam but you can apply for a education loan for tuition fees.

The college has the main cultural festival in the evening semester every year which is the best time of the college year. The college library is very huge and have abundant of books. The classrooms are very spacious and air conditioned. As the campus is small there are not much sports facilities which is the only downside of the campus. There are many hubs and society in the college and students in the club are very active and also conduct events very frequently.

The hostel offers 2 sharing rooms which has a table, a chair, a cupboard, a almirah and is air conditioned. It has two floors for recreation activities like table tenis, squash, billiards. It also has 2 gyms with opens in the morning and evening for 4 hours. The college has a mess which offers meal for three times, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The quality of food is very good. The mess is very well maintained and hygienic. Registration process is very easy and smooth. It can be done while filling the college admission form.

There are two ways by which you can get addmission. One is through JEE. the cutoff for computer science branch is around 96 percentile and for ECE is around 86 percentile. The other mode is through board percentage. The cutoff for computer science is 96 percentage and for ECE is 82 percentage. The application forms are available in the college website and you can fill the form for around 300 rupees. After you are shortlisted there is a physical councelling in the college campus itself. There could have been online counseling which could have been much easier.

The faculty are very qualified and experienced They are very supportive and student friendly but just like every other college their are few who are very strict and not so friendly with students. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:20 which is very decent. Teachers are very open to doubts and are ready to help any time during the college hours. Few teachers are soo good that learning from them feels so easy and helpful.
