Course Curriculum Overview
Data analytics is/was a growing field which is why I chose to apply for this particular college. Moreover at that time Kristu Jayanti College stood at 3rd position for pursuing BCA with analytics course.
Internships Opportunities
The college itself provides internship to students for a month in order to develop and upgrade their projects. For example this year a project was undertaken for developing an app to read NFC tags from student's ID cards to mark attendance. Interns were assigned to different departments for testing training developing and designing purposes.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible to apply for placements from the 5th sem. However there are not many companies coming for placements recently. Also not many technical roles are available in placements. Moreover annual CTC is also not enough for a student with over qualifications for the jobs the companies provide.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees was 75000 per year for BCA with analytics course back in 2021. Now it has been increased for approximately 100000 per year. However, the college provides financial assistance when applied and submitted valid proof. Campus employment is also provided for students for internship purpose or to earn stipend.
Campus Life
Campus life is great. Only thing students need to keep in mind is to be neatly groomed and be in a proper dress code which will be assigned by the college. Students can only play sports when they are in the college team else they do not get to play in the turf. College Day and ethnic day are the two most happening events in the campus. Classrooms are provided with projectors. Many clubs are run by students. Gdsc is a popular club run by a group of students which focuses on web/application development and also socialising with new developers around the campus
Admission
Elogibility requirements for this course was a subject requirement of maths and stats and a decent percentage in class 12 board examinations. I had applied online and my whole admission procedure was completed within one week's time.
Faculty
There are sufficient number of faculty for every department. They are easy to interact with and approach when we have grievances or queries to be resolved. They also assist students via whatsapp and even after college hours.
