Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I like it.There is no any specific aspects regarding my subject. From class 12 onwards I like my subject economics and so I persude this course. The timing of our exams are ok . But according to difficulty level it is moderate. I don't think that there is any area that need to be improved regarding the course.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 2000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Overall my complete cost of my education including tution fees is somewhere around 3000rs. There are many scholarships which are available. Specially I want to suggest Ishan Uday scholarship. Which is a good option if students are looking for scholarship. It gives a total amount of 162000rs in 3yrs . Scholarship is provided in merit base candidates with good percentage in hs and an annual income level of not more than 4lakh rs is eligible for this scholarship

Campus Life

There are various kinds of books available in our library. You can get all types of books related to your subject or other aspects. Festivals that are generally held are bihu in the month of April, annual sports week at the end of January, Cultural rally etc. Sports that are offered on campus are badminton with a 3courts big hall, gym, volleyball, table tennis etc

Admission

The percentage varies every year . So I cannot give the complete information regarding eligibility. It also depends upon your caste .you can find the application form in the official website. The admission process should not be too long and the merit list should be provided before a week so that students can fill up other colleges form according to their percentage

Faculty

We can interact with our teachers whenever we want . They are very friendly and always ready to help their students whenever they face any kind of problem regarding studies. Apart from all this they are also very kind hearted and always support our department.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The institution provides a vast syllabus prescribed according to the courses . I did hons in english so in my field I had to study a vast syllabus ranging from ancient greek and roman literature to modern dramas The English course consists of poems, dramas, novels, novellas and many other. The course or syllabus is varies with different stage of semester or year In the first semester we had study the follows Greek literature and epic Roman literature Early indian literature In the second semester Roman literature Indian literature In the third semester Popular literature British literature American literature ....... The proficiency of students is checked in the exams where in the first sessional the level of questions remain easy Moderate to difficult in the second sessional and increases the level of difficulty with the progression of semesters If I will talk about the pros of the course It gives an insight of to the vastness of the world of literature which helps the students in different fields. It gives an opportunity to study different stories written by different writers from different countries and helps in to learn the culture, language, society, polity and the history of a particular period of literature movement. It also helps the students to think critically and creatively to utilise it in the real life scenarios. There are also some cons of this course It's vastness can sometimes make students burnt out completely due to the vastness of the course and the limited time frame where you have to cover everything from poems, novels with 300 pages to seminars , internships

Improvement in Sports activities needed

I applied for EFLU (Shillong Campus), Central University of Karnataka, Tezpur University, Gauhati University and Dibrugarh University and some of their affiliated colleges like Darrang College, DHSK College and many more. I did get pass through the merit lists of Karnataka, Darrang and DHSK.
