- Not much emphasis on placements( particularly in my faculty)
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is outdated and not very good. Although its good for foundational building and graps holistic view of subject matter but lacks catching up with current norms and practices creating a gap bewteen skills required and things taught
Internships Opportunities
Internships were offered but roles were not that great. I interned off campus at an investment bank. Internships were offered in drives and almost all wilingful students got a job or internship. Stipend was also present.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee was minimal. The course fee was some 7,000 rupees for 3 years. Hostel fees were 10,000 approx for full 3 years. It's highly subsidized due to being a central university. Amenities were present and scholarships and grants were also provided.
Campus Life
BHU operates at the university level and faculty level. Faculty of Commerce had its annual fest Nirvana. Sampdan is an annual sports fest and there's an annual cultural fest also. Apart from it different institutions and faculties organise their individual fest also.
Admission
The Exam conducted was BHU UET in 221, it was last edition before commencement and application of cuet. The paper was MCQ based and had around 200 questions. Competition was reasonably high with 1Lakh + applications for some 400 off seats. Therefore, after exam a councelling was done and top 1000 candidates including all categories were called and offered seats after around subsequent waitlists. Exams were then replaced by CUET. BHU UET was bhu own exam and was held nationwide.
Faculty
Classes were of 70 people each. Faculty are well versed and qualified but do lack industrial exposition. Many of them are passouts from nearby colleges only and although highly qualified, have no to very mininal industrial experience.
