Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is flexible and simple and it gives real life examples to overcome the day to day activities of life. The course should be more flexible and it includes technical tools for teaching. The timing of exam is bad.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is quite flexible and affordable for the students. However students belonging to the below poverty line are given an offer for free admission. There are opportunities for scholarships to like the government funded scholarship.

Campus Life

Only one annual function takes place every year. The library is good with lakhs of books and journals. The facilities teachings includes projector and other technical tools. The extra curricular activities are good and encouraged in the college.

Admission

You have to pass Class 10+2 for applying the course. The application system is online so one have to apply through the college website. Yes reservation benefits are there for SC, OBC, ST. There should be a helpline number or help desk in the admission process

Faculty

The faculty members are good. They are very cooperative and friendly. They try to complete the syllabus on time and provide day to day notes. They provide mentorship. The teachers are very interactive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The institution provides a vast syllabus prescribed according to the courses . I did hons in english so in my field I had to study a vast syllabus ranging from ancient greek and roman literature to modern dramas The English course consists of poems, dramas, novels, novellas and many other. The course or syllabus is varies with different stage of semester or year In the first semester we had study the follows Greek literature and epic Roman literature Early indian literature In the second semester Roman literature Indian literature In the third semester Popular literature British literature American literature ....... The proficiency of students is checked in the exams where in the first sessional the level of questions remain easy Moderate to difficult in the second sessional and increases the level of difficulty with the progression of semesters If I will talk about the pros of the course It gives an insight of to the vastness of the world of literature which helps the students in different fields. It gives an opportunity to study different stories written by different writers from different countries and helps in to learn the culture, language, society, polity and the history of a particular period of literature movement. It also helps the students to think critically and creatively to utilise it in the real life scenarios. There are also some cons of this course It's vastness can sometimes make students burnt out completely due to the vastness of the course and the limited time frame where you have to cover everything from poems, novels with 300 pages to seminars , internships

Teachers should be cut slack to maintain their mental health. They are not provided enough rest. The exam schedule are not at all managed properly. It is quite hectic and students fail to cope up with it

Improvement in Sports activities needed

I applied for EFLU (Shillong Campus), Central University of Karnataka, Tezpur University, Gauhati University and Dibrugarh University and some of their affiliated colleges like Darrang College, DHSK College and many more. I did get pass through the merit lists of Karnataka, Darrang and DHSK.
