What Students Say

Likes

The enviornment and the maintainance of the college.
The infrastructure and the classroom are well maintained and air conditioned
The professor are helpful when the student genuinely asks them

Dislikes

Not proper management for the entry of students
There is no transparency of grades and internal marks
Unnecessary charges are applied for even small things

Course Curriculum Overview

The courses and their curriculum are not much different from each other. More or less everyone has to study every subject. The subjects are relevant but they are imp factor in increasing the grades of student

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are available in my college but they ask very high percentage in cgpa. Which many could not meet the requirements. Companies like Dell, hp, Phillips etc come for the internship offers

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. The companies that come for recruitment asks for the high cgpa in college for applying for interview round. After getting the degree I would go for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The complete course costs 15 lakhs tuition fees. If we include hostel fees then it goes to 20lakh for 4 years. Financial aid provided by college is just that we can pay in installment but that too they charge interest rates which cost equally

Campus Life

Campus life is fun for the first year then it becomes a monotonous routine and you feel bored by all the same activities. Club activities are fun but they all does the same activities again and again which makes others less interested

Admission

The seats are reserved for particular branches and the eligibility criteria is based on 12th and jee percentage. The scholarship they offer is based on the entrance exam of manipal. They should reduce the first come first serve seats

Faculty

The faculty and student ratio is 1 is to 60 but the professors are not that qualified. Some faculty teaches more than one subject which they don't have much knowledge about. Most of the teachers are just PhD

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent in my point of view as college manage to provide campus placement to every eligible students as company ask for your Overrall grade point of the student and apply their standard as 6.5 ogpa or without any backlog and take exam of aptitude and it is based on company policy they take group discussion and then personal interview and if it is software company then coding rounds also. Students in7th semester are ready for placement. In current scenario 6 companies have visited the campus and around 40-45 offers has been given to students. Here each company come with only one package and different job roles some company came with 5.5 lpa and some with 5 lpa and some with 7 lpa so maximum till now from college is 7 lpa and average till now of placed students is 5.5 lpa. 60 percent of students get placed in past years stastics. My plan is to go for higher education ie mtech from good institution.

The placement of my college are good in electrical and mining branch the placement are very good while in other branch the placement is decent in this college many companies are visited like vedanta etc. many good companies are come here the 60 percent students are placed every year but in mining and ee the placement rate is almost 100 percent my plans after getting degree is to go in very good company with very good placement

Placement Experience:

Each year in seventh semester placement companies visit college for taking students. In mechanical engineering Vedanta and Secure meter come for taking students. The average placement of this college is seven to eight lakhs and highest placement is twenty two lakhs. The best part is the placement in core companies. The average placement CGPA REQUIRED FOR PLACEMENT IS SEVEN CGPA.

Best college life money pal University

Getting admission into Mit is neither that easy nor that tough. You have to register yourself first for a meeting via the Manipal University site and they will charge a nominal fee for that it will be a cbt mode examination, the question was easy to intermediate level and the best thing about the meeting is that there are no reservations whatsoever. After the examination, the counselling happens and they charge 10k for it just for entering the choices which I think is too much as it is non-refundable if you won't get any of the choices u have filled....Read More
