Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum has scope for various hands on projects , which helps to understand the professional landscape in the undergraduate level itself. However thanks to NEP, the inclusion of several Value Added Courses often cluttered the time table, many of which are not detrimental to the course.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internships are recommended by professors to news organisations where they have contacts. They are quite helpful if you've displayed your calibre throughout the course and brought it to their notice. The internships are paid or unpaid depending on the job role and organisation.

Placement Experience

3.5

No placement as such are offered directly but the professors' analysis of yiur performance in the course would aid them in recommending you to news organisations around you. The university hosts a placement guidance cell, which helps people to understand employability needs

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are quite affordable for a middle class family, being 1 lakh for a year for our batch, however more money goes into lodging and food. Everything inside the university however is subject to payment, such as workshops and stuff, which is priced at a reasonable rate for the value it adds to an individual. Faculty is also very cooperative to help students get internship opportunities

Campus Life

4

The college infrastructure is great, with a vast campus and enough eateries across the campus. Sports facilities are available but favouritism is evident in the selection process. Various clubs exist in the college, which aid the students discover their areas of expertise.

Admission

The course had its own entrance test and personal interview along with micro presentation. The aim of it all is to gauge the students' aptitude towards the subject they are willing to pursue. Application forms are available on the university website but the admission portal is often slow.

Faculty

4

Most professors are very approachable and give proper feedback on work presented to them. The student to faculty ratio is quite good and faculties cover a vast array of areas which helps answer almost all questions that arise. Many projects and initiatives by students are encouraged by faculty, providing adequate support to them.

Interview Experience

3.5

There was an MCQ online entrance test, along with a personal interview and micro presentation by the professor of the course. The preparation was quite easy and it aimed to gauge the aptitude of the applicant regarding the subject the were aiming to pursue.
