- The technical fest Phaseshift is a bumpy ride for coders.
- All academic blocks are so well maintained that one will not find a clean campus than BMSCE at least in Bengaluru.
- There is a codere society and students can learn from that society more than what they learn in societies.
Dislikes
- Outsiders makes upto 50% of the college strength and that is unfair to students from Karnataka.
Course Curriculum Overview
CSE is not dying as many students are opting for AI and other such courses. Core CSE branch is still the best and placements figures validates that too. Our curriculum is relevant to the challenges that real world faces and as CSE students we are made to address them. BMSCE may be one of the oldest private colleges in India but in terms of curriculum it is one of the most advanced.
Placement Experience
CSE students can start their placements training from 3rd year and come the fourth year we have placements round. Almost 100% is the placement percentage for CSE core students. Companies like Oracle, Mercedes Benz, Visa and others come for placements and highest placement of our branch stands at 48 lakhs. The average too is not bad with 8 lakhs and for a fresher that too is significant.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are different for students from Karnataka to students coming from other states. Our fees are generally lesser than those coming from other states. There are many scholarships as well such as EWD, PWD, and minorities scholarships and more. Students can save upto 60-70% of their tuition fees through scholarships programmes.
Campus Life
Phaseshift and UTSAV are the top rated fests but there are various other fests too. In all ther are four admin buildings, 5 hostel buildings and some sports facilities as strength of the college is high and therefore getting an opportunity to play sports or find space in canteens becomes impossible during peak hours.
Admission
Eligibility is simple as those from Karnataka have to give KCET and those outside Karnataka has to give Comed-K. The quota defined is 60-40 but still college has a management quota too so it balances out with 50-50. College exams are held in November and May every year as that is how semesters are planned.
Faculty
CSE department is one of the best department of the college and has the best faculties among all other branches. Faculties omit the unwanted part in the curriculum as technology keeps advancing and so is our course. Faculties interact with students on daily basis as we are asked to keep asking questions as speaking up helps in one's overall well-being and this is what out faculties promote the most.
