Likes
- The main attraction of University College Thiruvananthapuram is the department wise library facility in the college. Each department has it's own library and so many books relating to each subjects.
- As it is one of the top college in kerala,so many brilliant students are students are here.. And we get an opportunity to involves in many activities with them such as clubs, seminars etc
- College also gave support to students who are intersted in sports and arts.
Dislikes
- The only one thing I am disappointed in the college is the poor infrastructure.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum follows Choice Based Credit System of University Of Kerala.There are two semesters in every year. The assignments are done at the end of the semester. In the case of Bachelor of Arts [Economics], economics is a subject that gives wide range of opportunities in the fast developing world.
Fees and Financial Aid
As it's a government college, fee concession as given to students who are eligible for specific reservation. Students who have reservations need to pay only 360 rs per year. Other students need to pay about 2000 per year. We can apply for so many scholarships under government. Egrants, samunnadhi, higher education scholarship etc are some scholarship students can apply
Campus Life
The college campus is really wonderful. The college union conducts Arts day every year and the winner of the particular event represents college in the Kerala university youth festival. There are so many clubs such as forest club, tourism club, debate club etc which helps to interact on society. There are so many sports events that the students can participate.. Practice sessions are conducted regularly.
Admission
The admission process is through the official website of Kerala university. The eligibility is the marks obtained in the higher secondary board examination. Above 90 % is required to get admission. We get relaxation if we apply through sports quota or spot admission. I got a relaxation in fees on being in ews category
Faculty
As it's a government college, all our faculties are qualified with the specified qualification of a college lecture. They are very friendly.. And they are not directly spoon feeding us.. They are helping us to study ourselves.. There are two tutors for a batch of students
