Likes
- Regular clubs and workshop conduction. Here in MITS, students clubs conduct beneficial workshop regularly,
- Green and lush campus. Campus of MITS is filled with small garden even inside the department building,
Dislikes
- Irregular classes. The class conduction is not upto the mark, teachers often end up cancelling the classes and labs, due to which time gets wasted
- Teachers don't complete the syllabus on time. Due to which, we have to cover the last units by ourselves
- There aren't any fig cultural fests conducted here, though the conduction of expo and all is very regular
Course Curriculum Overview
Personally, the courses here in MITS are well balanced with several applications of real world based problems, i chose EE+IOT because of my interest in sensor technology. Though, i personally believe that labs should be conducted regularly so that students can apply what they've learnt in the lecture. The exams are conducted every 1.5 months, though there are quizzes every week
Fees and Financial Aid
Since MITS is a government institute, the fees is comparatively very low compared to other colleges, there isn't any fee hike issue over here. The total fees including tution fee etc is 104000 per year and if u opt for hostel it's 34500 per sem. The scholarships like Medhavi is very popular, most of the scholarships are given according to the marks obtained in boards
Campus Life
There aren't any official fests held here. Though there is always expo, exibitions going on in the college, there are alot of clubs which conduct various activities like geeks for geeks, bandish, fun and tech. The library is well equipped with all kinds of books, there is an e-library aswell. There are tournaments held regularly like cricket, basketball, volleyball
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms here are the best. Though there are hostels available in the campus only for girls in 1st and 2nd year and boys for only 1st year. Hostel rooms are well maintained, hostel is very clean, there are 3 water coolers, 2 induction and 2 washing machine. Mess food is okay, there isn't much variety in the food, just daal, sabzi and normal food, there are special meals at the end of the week. Registration of hostel can be done during the admission process only.
Admission
The admission process was smooth, we were notified about the documents beforehand so that there wasn't any last-moment rush, and everyone from the staff cooperated very well. There was ample space to sit and facilities to eat and rest. You will only be eligible for the course once you've cleared class 12th exams will least 50 Percent, you can find all the details on the official website rest to apply for it, you have to fill out the MP date counselling. The cutoffs depend on various branches, reservations etc. Reservation taken into consideration is caste reservation, sanik, domicile and ews and pwd
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is well maintained, the students can anytime approach the teachers during the college hours in their cabins. All the faculty members are qualified with a PhD degree and are highly knowledgeable in the field of science and technology, the faculty members are helpful and are friendly with each student.
