Likes
- Firstly if I evaluate the fees of 14 to 15 lakhs that I will be paying to become an engineer from BMSCE, the total potential of ROI is exceptional as in two years my entire cost of study will be recovered.
- Many circumstances are thrown to us to make sure that we survive the extremes. This is how engineers are prepared here by throwing challenges on them on daily basis.
- BMSCE has the best set of students because only the toppers from entrance exams gets an entry here.
Dislikes
- CS subjects like Microcontrollers, VLSI, and Algorithms which are unwanted in our stream are also taught to us.
Course Curriculum Overview
First year is common and therefore I sometimes feel that we are still a semester away from learning our core subjects. However, the syllabus is as per the industry needs in the modern world. Dell has partnered with the college and has set-up an enhanced learning lab so that students learn what they will be doing in the future.
Placement Experience
Not before you enter the final semester from college end you can't sit for placements. For our branch companies like HP, Dell, Oracle, Honeywell have been the mass recruiters. One student from our branch bagged a placement worth 36 lakhs and to date that's the highest one has bagged from our branch. The average maintained is somewhere around 7 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
For E&T it is lesser than CSE or AI&Data Science while the placements are almost similar. My complete cost of education will be around 15lakhs. However, students who score over 9CGPA every year gets some discount in their fees in the next year. This is a huge reward as I feel students should be rewarded on merit which comes just the hard way.
Campus Life
The social media is flooded when UTSAV our annual cultural fests dates are announced. It is that big an event as students from all colleges in Bangalore comes and attends our fest. In terms of infrastructure our campus is not that big, one huge building thatvhas admin office, library, and two auditoriums and all the branches is all that we have. Yes, there is a recreational activities room but that is always full and juniors hardly get a chance to play there.
Admission
Since I am from Karnataka our eligibility scene was simple as to give state entrance called KCET. While students from rest of th country has to appear for Comed-K. 12th has to be cleared with a minimum of 50 percent and then the entrance score combination helps in getting admissions here.
Faculty
One word for them and that is commitment as they never shy away or back away from helping students. I am still in my first year and must say that faculties are the ones that have impressed me the most. The reason why BMSCe is top rated is because of the top faculties that this college has.
