Dislikes
- Overall all the campus and our teachers and staff members are very conscious about our future. But there are many events that organised in our college disturbed the classes.
- The holidays are also too much in our classes. We get only 3 or 4 months to complete our courses which are insufficient for our courses
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of our college is very sufficient to us. Our classes are started from 9 am to 3-4 pm which is very relevant. Our college has newly started the NEP 2020 education system which helps us to learn multiple activities at a time. I'm a student of English depertment , I choose this depertment because of the importance of learning english in today's circumstances and also to increase my knowledge about literature. After all our college curriculum is very helpful and relevant for students now a days. The timinng of exam is also perfect and the internel assessment or the marking system is also satisfied.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure of our college is based on the UGC policy. The fee of BA/B. Sc students without practical 4060 and with practical 4900. Also free addmission is available for the BPL students they have to pay only 650rs for addmission. The examination fees are 1200( without practical) and 1700(with practical) no other tution or service fees is taken from us. We also get the ishan uday scholarship, OBC scholarship for our financial support. Our college authority also take various steps for our carrier support. Various carrier councelling programme and job opportunities are given to the students in our college campus
Campus Life
The environment of our campus is quite good. Many festival are organised by our college authority along with the student union in the campus. Cultural week and Sports week are also organised here. The carrier councelling programme often held here for the benifits of the students. Certain important days like republic day, independence day and science day etc are also held here at the campus. There are a Students Cooperative Society owned by student union is also there in our campus. Also the canteen and a book stall was here at our college.
Admission
Our college addmission process is done thruogh online portal. Earlier it was done by our college own portal that is www. sibsagarcollege .in But from the last year as per government instructions the admission process is done by a new portal named SAMARTH. Student should register themselves in the SAMARTH portal and select the Sibsagar College for addmission and can apply there. After that our respected teachers will take the bio data and required documents through offline mode. The cut off mark is more than 70 in every year. In case of reservation the students get 10% of relief from the depertment.
Faculty
The faculty members of our college are very helpful towards students. They help us in every problem including academic or personal or professional. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:40. So they can monitor every students individually. In addition to this for the benifits of the students there are certain groups in every depertment where there are 9-10 students in every group under a teacher which is very beneficiary to students. Also we can interect with the faculty members at any time. The teaching methods are also very interesting and understanding to students. They are also very friendly to us.
