- The motilal Nehru college is well known all over the state and provide a large campus while being at the centre of the city.
- It has experienced faculties for both clinical and non clinical subjects. And hospital training is also good.
- Not too strict hostel and campus environment allow students to express themselves freely and live in h simple and free world.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is bit old and non modern but that's because of its long history of 60 years but it's changing now.
- Animals in campus and hostel is a issue which lead to cleanliness issues too.
Course Curriculum Overview
Mbbs is bit different from other courses and it can be a little exhausting too if you think about the exams and such stuff which happen on regular basis frequency varying from department to department. But biannual exams are compulsory with vivas and practicals too. Also there are exams after a certain department posting so it helps to keeping the pace.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is held at SRN hospital which is 1km away from campus and got to learn there as a provisional doctor. Patient load being high provide good opportunities to have hand on experiences for the students which help them a lot.
Fees and Financial Aid
the tuition fee is 36k, but Being a government college, the fees is not much, but you have to clear the neet exam for it. Scholarships are provided through the government, and you almost get your fees back through it, so that doesn't create any financial burden. Stipend is provided for the internship, which is 12000 rupees per month, comparatively Low if you compare it with other state medical colleges.
Campus Life
The annual event here is called euphoria which is week long and include cultural activities, sports and other fun activities. There are no clubs as such but recently a cultural committee including students is being formed so yes things are changing in a better direction.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is provided in the campus with ample space in room if you are living in single seater. Juniors also live double seater which is manageable. Food is provided by different mess quality is OK but the repetition of dishes is the issue which took toll on students. Table chair bed and bedding is provided buy college overall it 's OK.
Admission
You should have done your 12th with PCB atleast and clear the neet exam and then cross the counselling to get a seat in such premier institute of its field. Reservation is like all other exams. Exams being held annually.
Faculty
Teachers are well qualified and educated in their field well known too for their work in the field. They often teach classes and don't hesitate to solve personal doubts too. Being in a medical college with well experienced professiors help a lot to learn this stuff.
