What Students Say
Likes
- The college placements is really good and it provides comprehensive environment for studying as well as research purposes. There's a lot of diversity within the campus and so you'll meet people from every corner of India.
- The students here are really focused on their work and the teachers are professionals as well. The classes are interesting and you'll learn a lot if you paid attention. The labs here are well equipped with all the necessary materials
Dislikes
- The campus is small or should I say half of it is under construction and so we don't get to roam around much. The academics is really hectic and we sure have to study a lot to get good grades. The teachers sure are helpful but there is a language
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I am pursuing is really interesting for me and that's the sole reason I chose it above many other courses. The teachers I've got are really supportive and help me whenever I require it. The course structure is really well balanced and I learn a lot of new things which feels really compelling to read more.
Internships Opportunities
I haven't had any interships yet but I have heard the college offers a good amount of opportunities but then you'll also have to work for it as there are hundreds of other students going for the same thing you want.
Placement Experience
The placements is the main plus point of this college, it offers opportunities better than most of the NITs in our country and it's all thanks to the academic structure and hardwork of the students here. I have seen students hungry to prove themselves and do something new. The exams here are really competitive and everyone gives their everything to perform well.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure here is really simple for the comedk applicants, you'll have a specific amount that you'll have to pay every year before starting it. Moving on to the scholarship programs and stuff, the scholarships they offer here are not of much help to most of people due to the conditions and all. The campus life here is decently good tho, you won't be bored because there's some or the other thing always happening on campus which will keep you engaged and if you're bored just sit in a random class to join a club. It's a source of entertainment plus education.
Campus Life
The overall campus life is decent enough if we compare it with other top colleges in India. There's some or the other event happening every now and then in the campus and it's fun to attend those. The annual fest here is also really good and you forget everything and enjoy those three days. The clubs here are mostly active and interesting as well, you'll get a club for sure according to your interest due to the vast availability. The college focuses on every aspect that should be nurtured in a student and you'll for sure have a different experience here in the college.
Admission
I was admission in this college through the comedk entrance exam and that's how nearly 30 to 35 percent of students here are admitted. You just have to take the comedk exam and according to your result choose a course and the college from the vast list of colleges here. The thing that I despise about the admission process is the time it takes. During my time it took like 2 3 months for nothing, there are just 3 rounds so one should complete it as quickly as possible and move on with the classes but that's not the case which happened with us and now we are 2 3 months behind the other colleges. It irritates me a lot since now I can't have a common holiday with my friends and family members.
Faculty
The facilities here are well educated and have all the skills required to make us learn something new. They try to make the class interesting so we don't sleep (as is the case with almost all the engineering college classes). You can also approach the faculties at any time and they'll help you. But where there is good, there is bad as well so moving on to the bad part, some of the faculty members (nearly all) favoritize South Indian people or natives over the people from outside Karnataka and is the only thing which I truly hate here. The qualifications are good but the porfs lack communication skills. The academics here are really rigorous and so you'll have to invest time apart from class on every subject.
