CONCISE REVIEW OF AMITY UNIVERSITY KOLKATA

Being a BBA student from Amity University, i can proudly say that i have learnt alot up till now. Before I joined this University i had a very little knowledge about the business world and how they impact our society but Amity gave me a base where i was able to understand how a particular corporate works. The teaching methods used here are top notch, exams (including internals and externals are quite moderate), many guest lectures and business events are conducted by our department. Apart from the pros there is a con. Of Amity : Being a hosteller (I'm sharing my personal experience) we the hosteller's are not allowed to be in library for so long but as mentioned in the prospectus there it stated that the Library would be opened for 24/7.

• This year our summer internships are going to start many companies came including start-ups too some names of yhe companies are: SOTC, Shoppers stop, Nirmal Bang pvt. Ltd., Ease my vacations, Travarsa Pvt. Ltd., Many NGOs, Maxview, Swiggy, Skillsup360, and many more. • Many job roles were offered like : Business development, HR, Marketing and sales, Operations, Digital marketing, Finance, etc. • Many companies offered unpaid internships specially the NGOs but many offered a stipend of upto 10000/- per month.

•There is a good history of Amity regarding the placement's as for 2023 The highest ctc offered was 33 lpa from Amazon. • Many other companies also arrive in our college like SAP, IBM, SALESFORCE, CHELSON GORDON, EY, JP.MORGAN, etc. • There are 100% placement offered by our university.

• The tution fees as for our batch (2022-2025) was 100000/- for the first year and then each semester there is a hike of 5%. • Scholarships are available at our university. • The complete cost for me is amounting to : 650000 (including the admission charge and security deposit) *Note: the amount is only for academics, the accomodation cost is 120000/- per year and 10000/- security deposit. • There is some reduction of fees for the students who bring a certain percentage in the higher secondary examination. 90-95% : 20-25% fee reduction. 80-85% : 10/15% reduction. *Note: The fee reduction is applicable only if the particular student is top notch in each of the semesters, i.e; the student must have to score at least a score of 9cgpa to avail the scholarship. • As for placements, last yr. Chelson gordon, ITC, Amazon, Shoppers stop, etc. Companies arrived

• The infrastructure is top notch. • There are many events conducted at our university, one of the most popular events conducted is Amiphoria. The spring fest, where many famous celebrities come and perfom. • Being a member of Business Management club i can say that each and every club present in our university is pretty much decent. • We have sangathan our very own inter college sports meet where students from various colleges and universities come and participate.

• I stayed for 2 year's on the hostel that is provided by amity itself, in terms of security it is top notch, 24/7 Centralized Ac support, Each and every day house keeping facilities, washroom fully maintained rooms are quite good too, Great wi-fi support, Water cooler also installed. • As for affordability, it is a bit overpriced as 120000/- for one year excluding fooding costs is a bit high. • Despite of accommodation the food provided in our canteens are the worstest, you may feel the food's quality good for 1-2 months but after that you'll know it anyway. • There are 3 canteens in total but each of them has their own payment criteria for their food. The food cost is also high.

• There was the online form fillup session, we filled up the form available at Amity kolkata's website. The form charged 1100/- (on the yr. 2022, the price may have increased) • After the form fillup session we were given a Form ID along with the password and said to login to the Amity microsite. • After the form submission and approval we were said to submit our online video stream which should be for minimum 30 seconds and maximum upto 1 minute. • On that video stream we were asked certain questions related to our introduction and 2-3 basic questions related to our course. • After the video submission we were said to wait for 1-2 weeks and then the results were declared on the microsite itself. And then after the selection the further procedures started.

Each and every faculty members of my particular course are highly educated most of them are phd holder's and they have alot of knowledge within themselves. If any student or group is not able to understand any particular topic they are there to help them, despite of their time constraints. Apart form the studies they are also engaged in other co-curriculars that makes a good relationship between the teacher and the student.
