Likes
- One thing I can say is that the college puts ample amount of attention on studies. Curriculum wise, whatever is taught is relevant in real life scenarios and the syllabus is up to date when you consider the syllabus of other Btech Cse colleges.
- The college also gives you opportunities in extra curricular activities since it has many student clubs you can join to gain valuable experiences.
- The college mess provides three meals a day and the food quality provided is also very nice.
Dislikes
- The college requires you to wear uniform all the time which can make you feel difficulty in experiencing the school to college transition.
- The campus area size with 15.5 acres can feel a little small when you compare it with other Btech colleges.
- The college holds exams at the interval of aprroximately every 30 days which can feel hectic
Course Curriculum Overview
I feel like that the curriculum is pretty much up to date when it comes to Btech CSE courses provided by other colleges. The college also ensures that the syllabus taught is relevant by incorporating projects which have real life applications. Although the frequency of exams could feel hectic and preparing for them may feel that you less time for other hobbies
Internships Opportunities
When students complete their 3rd year(6th semester), they undergo Industrial Training during the summer break. Some of the companies which come to JIIT for internship opportunities are Adobe, Linkedin, Microsoft, Bharti Airtel, TCS etc. Students undertake practical training in the industry to gain the skills and aptitude which are required.
Placement Experience
The students become eligigble for campus placements after the third year. They also have the option for internships. For the graduating batch 2023, the following were some of the placements secured: Rs 82.89 lacs by Atlassian(1 offer)(Highest Package), Rs 55.38 lacs by Adobe(3 offers), Rs51.03 lacs by Microsoft(2 offers). Average Package= Rs 10.94 lacs. Median Package= Rs 8.50 lacs. To sit in the placement exam, minimum CGPA of 7 is required. Out of those who were eligible for placement, 99% students were placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees for Btech CSE is INR 1441900. Apart from this, there is a one-time admission fee of INR 45000 while if you wanted to avail the hostel services, that requires an additional fee of INR 800000. There is also the option of Tution Fee Waiver, equivalent to tution fee of one semester, eligibility for this is that the combined income of both the parents should be less than INR 800000 per annum.
Campus Life
The Jaypee College in Noida has two branches, one in sector 62 and the other in sector 128. The annual fest of sector 62 is called "Impressions" and that of sector 128 is called "Converge". Both of these are held between February and March. There are huge numbers of books available in the library or learning resource centre. .The classrooms are equipped with desktops and projectors to enable smart education. Th rooms are also air conditioned. The college also has variety of student groups or clubs ranging from clubs for music, dance, dramatics, literature, fashion, robotics and for coding.
Admission
The college considers admission the basis of either JEE rank or based on the overall percentage secured in12th Boards in the subjects Physics, Maths and another subject of your choice. The application form can be found at the college's website. There is also the option of lateral entry in the college if you want to join the college at from the second year by giving an examination provided by the college itself.
Faculty
All the faculty members have either completed their phd or are actively pursuing phd in the college itself. Apart from lectures, there are also tutorial classes which gives the opportunity for a more personalized interaction between the students and teachers.
