My experience of life at MANIT

The curriculum of my course is very well for students who want to pursue exams like GATE,BARC etc and students who want to MS in selected domains.The curriculum also prepares you for Industry standards and the work that is done their.Talking about the improvements ,the course does give you an insight what is going on in the industry but it is a bit outdated.The things that are taught are not used in todays technology-driven world and the respective updates must be done in the course curriculum.The timings of exams are quite smooth and aample time is there to prepare for them.The exams lie between meduim to hard difficulty level, specially for circuital branches.

Internships for analyst and sde intern were offered by companies like Microsoft, google, paypal ,bajaj, amazon, duesthe bank, jpmc etc.Companies along with stipend offered are , Microsoft-110000, google-125000 ,amazon-120000, jpmc-75000, paypal-110000, duesthe bank-110000

Students from all UG courses having a gpa >6 till their 6th semester are eligible for placements. Companies that visit our campus are Microsoft,Google,JPMC,paypal,Bajaj,Goldman sachs,Deusthe bank, etc. Around 110 students got placed from our department.Highest package offered was 43Lpa and lowest 4 lpa. 64% students got placed.

My semester fee -6773 and for 2 semesters 13552, as i belong to reserved category i dont have to pay tution fees. My complete cost of education: (8 semesters total) Tution fee=0 , semester fee=54208 ,hostel fee=124000, Mess fee=96000 total=274208/- Scholarhips like NSP ,MMvy and many are available for students.NSP for Reserved categories and mmvy for students belonging to madhya pradesh. I had done an internship and our college also provides employment opporunities and the salary can be extimated based on the company . average package= 20 Lpa

My experience in college was filled with many great experiences.Apart from academics fests, workshops, events, Festivals celebration were carried out in our colllege. Societies and clubs used to organize and manage them.These were Roobaro ,IEEE, ISTE,E-cell, Quizzers club, Vision etc. Many facilites like library, digital library are available for students to study. Classrooms are provided with Projectors and good environment so that students can study well. Clubs like Aroha and NSS clubs are there that help students build better social skills and work for the cause of society.Also NCC is there .

Hostel facility for boys is decent and it varies from student to student.Double and triple occupancy is provided to 1st,2nd,3rd year students and single occupancy for final year students. Mess food quality is good and food is made in such a way that students from all over india can adjust accordingly. Registration of hostel is done by filling out and form paying the fee in SBI Collect portal. 15500 - triple occupancy ,17000-double occupancy.

The admission is done through josaa counselling that happens just after jee mains and advanced exams. Admission to Our college was based on Jee mains exam Score. The cutoff for respective categories will be available on the official website of the comitee(ex:NTA). Reservation is there for categories like SC, ST, OBC, Pwds. Detailed benefits are available on the official Josaa website. Jee mains exams happen 2 times a year and the difficulty is moderate. First shift usually is in January and second in april

The faculty of our college are well-qualified and have very good knowledge of their respected subjects.For our department there about 30 assistant proffesors,6 senior proffesors and 45 phds . The faculty are pretty helpful and they are always there for students who want guidance for higher studies in respective branches and preparing for competitive exams like Gate ,ies etc. I had pretty good interactions with proffesors and they guided very well be it minor-major projects, placement related doubts or any other things.
