RVCE Review

Corriculum at RV is great. Like, after New Education Policy, so many changes have been incorporated into the curriculum. Labs, and core subjects fundamentals like OS, OOPs, DBMS, CN and all also been taught with practicals for the same. Even we have experimental leraning component for our internals, which enable one to exploree practical applications of that subject. Even we have 3 written exam and online quiz for our internals, held monthly. But, if placement preparation related sessions, how to start preparation for the same, proving guidance and so could be provided by the college then it could be much better

Center of Excellence(COE) is there in the college, under which one can perform internship+training in the college. I worked for a project for Samsung Prims, under data management domain. It was an amazing experience, got to learn so much related to cutting edge technology and real world practical application of the subjects taught to us. We also have Internship as a 2 credit course, giving out presentation of the work performed during the internship at 7th sem.

Placement at the college is extremely great. Like from 5th semester onwards company did start coming at the campus drive. Large no of companies did visited at our campus, also made amazing offers. Highest package for our batch is 92 lpa, avg is around 14 lpa. In ISE, CSE branch, around 80% of the students got placed in our branch, and some not sit for placement itself, since they are planning for higher studies itself.

Fees for Comedk student is around 2.5 lakh per month, Kcet student is 1 lakh per month, and management student is around 35 lakh for ISE branch. Campus employmenet opportunities is great at RV, especially for Computer Science related branches, lot of company do visit the campus for placement opportunities at the college.

Overall the college experience is great. But, in RV too much focus on academic, research paper, placement stuff and all is there. Extra-curriculum activities are there, but not much active involvement is there. Even every year 8th mile or E-summit are being held. Infrastructure development is great, and currently so much of infrastructure are also being build in the campus, so as a result sport fields are getting destroyed because of the same. Many alumni from the college have gone to play at national as well as international level as well.

I got admitted through COMEDK exam, which is held yearly for all non-Karnataka students to apply for the private colleges in Bangalore. One is preparing for JEE exam, then they can definately give a try for this exam, it will hardly take 1-2 days then to preoare for the same. One can find the relevent details at comedk website itself regarding the exam. One can also explore the respective college webpage of these private colleges of Bangalore. Only, if they could make it little faster for admission process to proceed, after exam result are declared it would be better

The faculty present at the college are great and encouraging. They encourages student to write a research paper, which might benefit student for applying for masters in future. They are also quite helpful, and ready to help whenenever needed, related to anything, even personal problem to placement.
